In our dedicated booth, the team of established craftsmen - Fane Pănăzan, Radu Vădan, Radu Călian and Mihai Ursu - is waiting for you with spectacular news and demonstrations. Each day brings new surprises and unique opportunities to learn directly from skilled craftsmen.

Major attraction: the carport with 52 traditional joints

The highlight of the demonstrations will be the wooden carport built by Fane Pănăzan, a true technical masterpiece with no less than 52 different traditional joints. Designed by Emil Baciu using CADWORK software, this project demonstrates that modern technology and craftsmanship can work perfectly together.

You will be able to see the assembly process step by step, with a minimum of metal connectors, using especially the strength and precision of hand-made joints. It's a living lesson in traditional craftsmanship and contemporary precision, their perfect convergence.

Rustic furniture with traditional techniques

The two Radu's - Vădan and Călian - came up with an exciting theme for the three days: "Rudimentary woodworking - furniture and handmade objects using traditional techniques". You will witness the creation of functional objects using only traditional tools and age-old methods, in a demonstration of the beauty of simplicity and efficiency of techniques handed down from generation to generation.

You'll be able to follow the different stages of the creative process, and where it's not risky, participate alongside them. It is a unique opportunity to learn directly from Hub artists the secrets of the trade that are slowly disappearing from contemporary practice.

Friday, June 13 - 17:30 | Poiana lui Vădan: How to rehabilitate without destroying

In our established networking and debate format, Radu Vădan will moderate the debate on the rehabilitation of old non-heritage houses in urban and rural areas.

Radu Vădan will talk about the peasant houses from the Transylvanian lowlands, sharing valuable knowledge about traditional building techniques and the possibilities of contemporary adaptation.

Special guest: Eliza Yochina - founding member of Cumulus Architecture, De-a arhitectura - will present the rehabilitation project of the Ienachita House, a remarkable case study of how a building of historical value can be saved and adapted.
