Wood-Mizer has launched the MP160 straightening and planing machine, a new 2-in-1 machine for the production of perfectly dimensioned straight and rectangular boards. Efficient and compact, the MP160 transforms freshly cut lumber into perfectly finished boards.<\/p>\n

The MP160 machine has a horizontal cutter that works for two cast iron tables - the upper table for straightening and the lower table for coarse grinding. Therefore, it requires no modifications to switch between straightening and coarse-roughing modes. Simply switch between the two functions easily, without stopping the knife and sawdust extractor. Start by using the top table for straightening - making two adjacent sides perfectly flat and at precisely the right angle for each. Then use the bottom table for finishing the last two sides parallel to the first two, thickness-planing the plank to its final dimensions.<\/p>\n

It has a guard to protect the operator's hands while working. The plank support tilts at 45 degrees for angled plank processing. The top and bottom tables can be adjusted as needed, and the material infeed and outfeed tables always remain parallel to each other. The output table can be finely adjusted. Two clamping rollers pull the plank under the knife. The automatic feed system benefits from an industrial gearbox.<\/p>\n
