Shortly after the launch of the Wood Magazine, I attended the 13th edition of the event Cold Design<\/a> organized by Dizain\u0103r. I was telling you then how impressed I was by Mihnea Ghildu\u0219 and the way he managed to get us to discuss, to learn, to get interested, to evolve. I am just as impressed now when I see the effort he is making to promote Romanian design and young people who have chosen this path.<\/p>\n

This year Disband<\/a> is participating at BIFE-SIM with a 60 square meter stand called New Romanian Design Salon<\/strong><\/em>. Since the beginning of August, it has launched a competition for young designers to select products to be exhibited at the fair.<\/p>\n

How the works to be presented at the Dizain\u0103r stand were chosen<\/h5>\n

Instructions have been sent out and participants have been urged to apply by August 24, while making sure that the object to be presented is not just in the draft stage. Participants were assured that the winners will be announced by September 2.<\/p>\n

And so it happened! Dizain\u0103r announced the winners of the contest on FB. There were many participants - 41 designers - and 190 items were juried. In the tone of the announcement there was a sense of sadness at having to choose only a fraction of the very high quality products presented.<\/p>\n

We have said on another occasion that Revista din Lemn will make it a point to encourage and support wood projects, young designers and woodworking enthusiasts. It is therefore with great pleasure that we list below the winners of the competition organized by Dizain\u0103r for participation in BIFE-SIM.<\/p>\n
