It's not about complaining, it's about the time you have to get your thoughts in order and sort out what you have to do before your baby arrives.
Gone are the days when the baby crib was bequeathed and ended up being used by all the descendants in the family, generation after generation. I don't know how many people still keep the crib given by grandparents with the intention of putting it in the room of the new baby of the family.
But if we want something new for our baby, which crib is the best choice? A question that arises especially when you are not yet a parent and you are facing this situation for the first time. By the second you already know or already have.
Why is a baby's cot so important? Because, whether it will be in a room all to itself or for starters in your own bedroom, the cot is where it will spend most of its early years, becoming the centerpiece of the room both practically and aesthetically. This is why we, as adults, should make wise choices when it comes to furnishing your baby's room. It is important to be sure that as beautiful as the crib we choose is, it is also safe for our baby's health.
This is also the reason why wood, as a natural material, is preferred for cots. In addition to this, wood is also a strong material, and if the cot is produced according to European safety standards it will be strong, stable and safe. This is where the care with which it is produced and finished, as well as the amount of wood used, comes into play, and this is reflected in the price. But that's the whole point - to choose the best, especially as it will be used for several years by your baby.
Wooden cribs are the most recommended and appreciated. They can have locking wheels, so moving the cot is easy. The colors are not aggressive, most of them are finished in neutral colors, natural or pastel shades which makes them easy to integrate into the room decor or to match with existing furniture. A useful feature of wooden cots is the drawer at the base, which you'll find on most models. At the same time, the vertical sliding of one of the sides and the possibility of positioning the mattress on several height levels are other advantages sought after in wooden baby cots.
I have seen that wooden baby cribs are also produced in Romania, respecting the international safety standards required for this type of furniture, but they are either very hard to get to, or the presentation is not always attractive. I would like to be contradicted with examples to present here in the Wooden Magazine.
In trying to find beautiful wooden cribs made in Romania, I only managed to find a few in a classic style, nothing modern, that are made of wood and that appeal to us in a special way.
Some of them may also have a functional rocking chair for a little movement, like this one, which even if it's not a Romanian model, you can find similar versions in our stores.
Another advantage of wooden cots is that they can be converted into beds for older children when necessary. We've also chosen a model for those who prefer the modern style, even if we didn't have it here. / Photo
It's a convertible model with five mounting options, depending on your child's age.
And for twins, an interesting design that takes up little space would be the ideal choice.
Difficult choice, isn't it? There are lots of wooden cots in the shops, so choosing the perfect cot is a matter of taste, safety and budget.
