On December 14, in the presence of journalists, the documentary film "The Wood Road. The Music of Wood". It is the second documentary in the series "The Wood Road", produced by ASFOR.
„The movie is dedicated to those who bring wood to life. A documentary that describes the importance of wood and its countless uses. After a visit to a factory producing wooden panels - Kronospan in Brasov, the film presents two emblems of Reghin: the workshops of master luthier Vasile Gliga and the musical instrument factory HORA SA. The town of Reghin is a landmark on the musical world map. Fiddles, violins, violas, violins, double basses and guitars made in Reghin are to be found on all the world's great stages.
ASFOR promotes sustainable and professional forest management, the proper exploitation of forest resources and the superior valorization of wood. Wood is an important resource that Romania has plenty of. At a time when, globally, the advantages of using wood are being rediscovered - from tall wooden buildings to microchips - our country can take steps forward in terms of economic development and reducing its carbon footprint.
ASFOR wishes to present in a fair and balanced way the complex relationship between man, forest and wood. Despite all the differences between people, the functions of the forest are the same: social, economic and environmental. And it is the task of professionals in the sector to ensure this balance."
Last year, ASFOR released the documentary "The Wood Road", from the seed to a range of finished products: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9a0wu_LG5w&t=1073s.
