The successful LT15 range of reliable and compact band saws is extended with the launch of the LT15CLASSIC WIDE Mobile, which combines the features of the LT15 Mobile with a wider cutting head. "The LT15CLASSIC WIDE Mobile is an attractive option for companies and operators who need to cut large logs in their workshops. This mobile wide head bandsaw has been built on reliable and proven technical designs from the established LT15 models, which have gained worldwide recognition among users," says Hubert Powietrzyński, Wood-Mizer sales manager.
LT15CLASSIC WIDE Mobile has a portable chassis to be transported to any place you want, which allows you to start woodworking immediately. To start working with the saw, the user simply removes the wings, unlocks the guard that secures the saw head during transport and balances the saw bed on the ground.
The chassis design is based on the S3-type bed, consisting of 3 segments, each 1.95 m long. The saw bed is equipped with six standard side supports and three manual clamps for securing the log. The standard configuration of the LT15CLASSIC WIDE mobile bandsaw bed allows you to cut logs up to 5.2 m long. For more efficient log loading, the saw can be equipped with a set of hand winch loading ramps. A standard log wedge allows efficient balancing and positioning of any tapered log.
Another key feature of the ribbon saw LT15CLASSIC WIDE Mobile is the wider cutting head that allows logs with a maximum diameter of 90 cm to be cut, making this model, the saw with the highest cutting capacity in the entire LT15 range. The distance between the rolls of the blade has been increased to 88 cm, which allows for the cutting of prisms with a maximum width of 82 cm and a plank thickness of 27 cm. A re-engineered cutterhead to cut larger logs requires 4470 mm long saw blades, engaged by standard 483 mm flywheels.
