Under Xylexpo 2024, QuickWood presented its latest innovation: the CNSV2/800 panel and door sanding machine. Alessandro Salino, company representative, gave a detailed demonstration of the capabilities of this state-of-the-art equipment, which you can see at the end of this article.
A versatile machine for sanding wood and MDF panels
The CNSV2/800 is specifically designed for the needs of panel manufacturers MDFwhether flat or profiled. This multi-functional machine promises to optimize the sanding process, offering a fully automatic cycle and flexibility.
Automation and precision
One of the remarkable aspects of the CNSV2/800 is its high level of automation. Equipped with advanced sensors, the machine quickly analyzes the dimensions and thickness of each part, automatically adjusting the oscillating brush settings for optimal panel processing.
The entire process is controlled via a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), ensuring maximum precision and efficiency at every stage of the grinding process.
Four processing modes for maximum flexibility
CNSV2/800 is distinguished by its ability to perform four different types of machining:
- Interior sanding: The brushes work exclusively inside the panel, removing imperfections with precision.
- Side processing with fixed brushes: The machine concentrates on sanding the edges of the panel, with the brushes remaining in a fixed position.
- Exterior sanding with fixed brushes: This stage ensures a perfect finish on the outer surface of the panel.
- Full oscillating processing: In this way, the brushes oscillate on both the sides and the surface of the panel, giving a uniform, high-quality finish.
Simple and efficient process
The working process with CNSV2/800 is simplified to the maximum. The operator simply places the part on the conveyor belt. From here, the machine takes over: laser sensors detect the panel dimensions, a pressure roller clamps it, and the automatic control system coordinates the entire sanding process.
With the CNSV2/800, QuickWood promises to bring added efficiency, precision and flexibility to the production processes of furniture manufacturers and beyond.
It remains to be seen how this new technology will influence the market in the months and years to come. Below, the movie made at Xylexpo with Alessandro Salino - QuickWood, Italy.
