Wood-Mizer has opened a new logistics and production facility

Wednesday, November 6, 2024, saw the official opening of Wood-Mizer Industries' new logistics and production facility in Koło, Poland.

"This investment marks another step forward in the company's development and strengthens its leading position in the woodworking machinery and tools manufacturing sector," says Robert Bagiński, President of Wood-Mizer Industries.

Located in Koło, where Wood-Mizer's European subsidiary is located, this new building optimizes the company's production process and enhances the region's economic potential by attracting partners, specialists and investment capital.

During the opening ceremony, guests enjoyed a movie showcasing the journey of the investment, along with speeches by key people involved in the project. The evening featured a classical music concert by Koło artists, adding a touch of elegance to the event.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which concluded the official program, guests toured the new facility, appreciating its impressive space and the advanced solutions it offers.

The construction of the newest Wood-Mizer facility in Koło took only 13 months, with Budimex as the main contractor. This latest Wood-Mizer investment covers a total area of 40,500 m², with a building footprint of 11,000 m². Inside the hall, a spacious production area has been designated for the construction of the industrial wood processing line, the manufacturing of the sheets and a warehouse section with five loading docks. Adjacent to the production area will be office space and dedicated employee facilities. In addition, over 130 employee and truck parking spaces have been provided. The surrounding site includes internal roads and green spaces.

According to the experts involved in the project, this facility is more than just a new workplace - it is a space that combines modern technology with practical solutions. Building the logistics and production hall was challenging but also rewarding. Collaboration between Budimex engineers, Bielewski Architekci, Wood-Mizer specialists and numerous subcontractors has resulted in a functional, aesthetically pleasing and modern facility that serves as a spearhead for the company, the city and the entire region.
