LIGNA 2025, the global trade fair for the woodworking industry celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, announces the introduction of the Klima-Ticket.
All LIGNA 2025 participants - exhibitors, visitors and media representatives - will benefit from free public transportation in the Hannover metropolitan area. This initiative, launched by Deutsche Messe in cooperation with the ÃœSTRA transportation network, allows the use of local public transportation at no extra cost for all those holding a valid ticket to the fair.
"With the new Climate Ticket, we offer all LIGNA participants a comfortable, economical and sustainable way to get to the fair. It is a nice and anticipated birthday present, just ahead of LIGNA's 50th anniversary," said Dr. Jochen Köckler, Chairman of the Board of Management of Deutsche Messe AG. "As an organization, we are actively contributing to the reduction of CO₂ emissions, relieving pressure on the transport infrastructure and increasing Hannover's attractiveness as an event location."
Practical information for participants
The valid LIGNA entrance ticket, exhibitor badge or press accreditation will also serve as a travel ticket for public transportation in Hannover and the surrounding regions (ÃœSTRA network). This facility is available even if no specific information is printed on the existing ticket.
