The European Federation of Manufacturers of Wood and Furniture Technologies, EUMABOIS, held its annual general assembly on September 18 in Dresden, Germany, marking an important moment by consolidating its leadership team for the period 2025-2028.

Reconfirmed leadership and new blood on the board
The assembly reconfirmed its confidence in the current leadership: Frederik Meyer (VDMA, Germany) remains in the chair and Enrico Aureli (ACIMALL, Italy) continues as Vice-President. Alongside them, three new members join the board, bringing valuable perspectives and expertise from different corners of Europe:

Also, Matthias Kraus was confirmed as financial controller.
Difficult times, but opportunities for collaboration
In his speech, President Meyer acknowledged the challenges in the industry, but expressed confidence in the ability of the new leadership team: "I am confident that the new board of directors will be able to face the difficult season for wood technologies and beyond with the necessary skills."
Meyer stressed the importance of international cooperation in the current geopolitical context: "In a conflict-ridden global landscape, maintaining transnational relations and collaboration, even in specific areas, is an open and tangible invitation to sharing and partnership."
Progress in digitization: ETML project in the spotlight
Throughout the day, the federation approved the final balance sheet and reviewed its most important initiatives, in particular ETML (European Tool-Machine Language) project - a European machine tool language standard to facilitate communication and interoperability in industry.
Next meeting: Turkey 2026
The General Assembly closed with the announcement that the 2026 meeting will take place in Turkey, thus confirming the pan-European character of the federation and the importance of the Turkish market in the wood processing technology ecosystem.
