Wood-Mizer has expanded its product portfolio with two highly versatile mobile machines designed for the on-the-go professional. New mobile saw LT20START Mobile Sawmill and the mobile plank edging circular EG300 Mobile Board Edger offer precision, productivity and portability, making them ideal for operators working on multiple logging sites.
The freedom to cut wood anywhere - LT20START Mobile
Based on the popular LT20START model, LT20START Mobile saw LT20START Mobile combines affordability with advanced features such as hydraulic log handling and the SW10 Setworks control system. Designed for precision cutting, it can process logs up to 80 cm in diameter and 6.1 m in length, with optional bed extensions (1.8 m, 3.6 m or 7.2 m) for longer logs.
The hydraulic package includes three side stoppers, a center clamp, a log turning device, two lifting brackets and loading arms, all operated by intuitive levers for efficient handling. The SW10 Setworks control panel provides automatic cutting height adjustment, eliminating manual calculations and improving productivity.
The machine can be equipped with a 25 hp gasoline engine, providing ample power for both softwood and hardwood. Roof-shaped saw bed rails and optional stainless steel covers improve accuracy by preventing bark buildup.
Additional features include an electrically adjustable blade guide arm, automatic blade lubrication and an optional stripper to extend blade life and improve the quality of the cutting process.
Approved for public road transport, the LT20START Mobile LT20START is supplied with a complete towing package, which includes a total permissible mass (MTMA) of 1800 kg, axle with brake, tow hitch with support wheel, adjustable stabilizers, lighting system and protective fencing.
Portable Productivity - The EG300 mobile plank edger / multi-blade edger
For operators looking to increase yields and profits from timber, the EG300 Mobile offers the combined benefits of plank cutting and multi-blade functionality in one portable unit. Engineered for efficiency, it can process prisms up to 60 mm thick and 550 mm wide, with a maximum cutting width of 420 mm between blades. Operators can choose between hemming mode (2 blades) and multi-blade mode (up to 5 blades), depending on production needs.
The feed system features four feed rollers driven at speeds up to 25 m/min, ensuring a smooth and consistent material feed. Driven by an 18.5 kW motor, the EG300 Mobile handles even dense hardwood with ease. Standard and optional features include anti-kickback fingers, laser alignment system, mobile control panel with pivoting arm and Setworks system, modular foldable roller tables and storage solutions.
Designed for easy transport of the machine, the EG300 Mobile trailer has a maximum permissible gross vehicle mass (MTMA) of 1500 kg and is equipped with a braked axle. The hitch folds sideways when not in use, saving space during storage or operation.
