Q: Who is behind DC Studio?
A: My name is Razvan Ioan Hairum, I am 28 years old and I graduated in architecture. During my studies I discovered my attraction for photography and graphic design, which helped me to start a freelance career. Although employed at an architecture studio, I continued with individual projects dreaming of my own business.
Q: How was the idea of DCStudio born?
D (digital) C (concept) Studiois the effort of myself and my former associate Andrei Constantinescu. We met during the preparation classes for the admission to the Faculty of Architecture and since then we have become close friends. After college, sitting for a beer in the lobby of a club in Bucharest, we discussed ideas and plans, after which we decided to join forces and start a project. I brought my advanced knowledge in graphic design and 3D and Andrei, his construction experience. We started meeting in his then girlfriend's apartment and alternated work (prototype material at first and nothing official) with computer games. The first architecture project finally appeared, so we decided to make the brand official and in order.
Q: How did you come up with the luminaires?
A: At one point, while working on a design project, we thought it might be better to try drawing our own designs instead of using lighting fixture designs downloaded online. After the first round of positive feedback we decided to produce it too.
We later added other models, thus giving birth to a range of lighting fixtures, DCStudio brand.
Q: What is the proportion of foreign clients compared to those established in Romania?
A: For now, most of the projects are for the local market, but with a little effort on the promotion side, they will be rolled out all over Europe.

A: DCStudio products are best seen on Facebook pages - Digital Concept Studiosi web page dcstudio.ro. Some of the luminaires can be smelled at the Bucharest office. Orders are placed and shipped immediately so give me a sign beforehand to make sure you have what you need.
