A new lifestyle trend

On 12 July 2016, from 19.00, the exhibition "A new lifestyle trend", curated by Mihaela Ion, at Ethos House - Calea Floreasca 240B, Bucharest.

Liliana Stoica, creator of the Deco-Box brand, the first in Romania to integrate the concept of 3D wooden paintings into the decoration of offices and homes, came up with the challenge for curator Mihaela Ion, designer Ciprian Manda and Irina Alexandru, co-founder of Vector Watch, to transform the Ethos House reception into a space of culture and lifestyle. Located near Floreasca Lake, Ethos House, is one of the newest office buildings, seamlessly blending elegant design with Renaissance influences and architectural innovation, making it an iconic "green" building.

"A new lifestyle trend" is an event designed to promote the smart integration of object design in a business space through three-dimensional paintings in wood mosaic and bold colours by Liliana Stoica from Deco-Box, Vector Watch smartwatches, and architectural furniture of noble essence created by Ciprian Manda from Silva Artis.

Each object has a story, a different composition, but all have been made by young visionaries, challenging change, breaking standard, conservative barriers, either by redefining the decor or the technology. Out of love for the unconventional and with an impulse to redefine lifestyle we invite you to be among the first to join us and benefit from a new trend that involves valuable designer objects and Romanian technology at the highest standards.

The one-of-a-kind exhibition can only be visited from 12 July to 12 August, and the initiators of the exhibited brands Deco-Box, Silva Artis and VectorWatch will be present at the opening.

Admission to the event is free.

Deco-Box is the story of a journey, the pursuit of a passion and the embrace of the organic creative calling that lies within each of us!

Starting from the idea that we are all made of colour, a combination of vibrations and light, we aim to create a unique experience, three-dimensional paintings based on geometric pieces of solid wood and contrasting, cheerful colours - "Life in bold colours" or rather: "Bright colours for a cheerful ambience".

In September 2013 Deco-Box, the first 3D art workshop on wood, a new design concept, is launched, formed by Liliana - founder and her father - a sculptor and restorer by profession.

Silva Artis - The creative wood workshop was launched in 2011 as a parallel exploration of forms and materials. Ciprian Manda works with new materials, but also with the old, to achieve a depth, a profundity of experience of space. Raw material, strong colours combine with precise joints.

In a world of things "made in China", made of cheaper and cheaper and more and more artificial materials, there is a need for the natural, the authentic.

In a space filled with generic storage boxes, without personality, a balance is required, through one-off pieces, spectacular in material and form.

Mihaela Ion is co-founder of the projects "Atelierul Magazine" and "White Night of Creators and Product Designers", managed through her NGO, "Creative Workshop Association". She has extensive experience in organizing cultural events in different cities in Romania: Bucharest (ICR, French Cultural Institute, Cinema Elvira Popescu), Cluj Napoca, Iasi, Brasov, Timisoara. She was a grant holder of the "Gabriela Tudor" in London at body>data>space, and since 2015 has been a PhD in art history.

The invitation is made! From next week until 12 August you are welcome to visit this exhibition of fresh and authentic design.
