Workshop Naturalpaint - Natural insulation for healthy homes

A two-day event on wood fiber insulation, natural insulation solutions and systems and comparative tests with other home insulation materials

NaturalpaintNaturalpaint, the company that offers natural and healthy solutions for finishing and insulating the home, invites us to a workshop dedicated to natural thermal insulation. The workshop will take place on November 15 and 16 in Cisnădioara, near Sibiu, Naturalpaint will have as partner of the event the German company Gutex - manufacturer of wood fiber insulation. We will be there as media partners, as we were at the workshop in early October dedicated to finishing wood and walls with natural materials. The energy efficiency of buildings, whether new or old, is a very topical subject, which makes such an event very welcome. All the more so as there will also be a practical part on how to install insulation to get the maximum result.

Who the event is for

The event is aimed equally at builders, architects and homeowners. Those involved in the design and construction of houses are given information and solutions to help them offer their clients a thermally efficient, safe and healthy home. Homeowners are bombarded daily with all sorts of information about the effects of insulation materials on their health and the homes they live in. They need a guide in this tumult of information and this event can answer many of their questions.

Architects and builders are living through a period of major change in the construction industry. The requirements to design and build near zero energy houses (nZEB) are now covered by EU directives and emergency ordinances. There is growing talk of constructive solutions involving wood, high-performance products such as CLT and triple-glazed windows or passive houses. No one thinks of building a house without thinking about insulation. Such an event gives them the opportunity to find answers to many questions and learn about new alternative materials.

Who is Gutex

Signature Gutex Holzfaserplattenwerk is based in Waldshut-Tiengen in the Black Forest mountains, 20 km from the source of the Danube. It has been making fiberboard here since 1932, using scrap fir and spruce wood from local wood-processing factories. It is the source of raw material that is still used today. The boards are environmentally friendly because only untreated wood is used and the manufacturing process is as "clean" as possible, with very few additives added. Apart from the wood fiber, the boards have only 4% polyurethane adhesive needed to form the board and 2% paraffin to make the board water-resistant.

Gutex produces wood fiber thermal insulation in the form of both boards and individual fibers. Fibreboard are of different thicknesses, sizes and flexibilities so they can be used both for the insulation of ventilated facades and exterior walls, as well as for interior walls or inside walls, for roof insulation, between rafters, between floors or under floors. For ease of installation and elimination of thermal bridges, the boards are manufactured with the nut and feder system. The individual fibers are suitable for insulating difficult spaces in attics and lofts or any other hard-to-access places requiring insulation. Installation of the fibers is done under pressure, only by trained and authorized persons.
