BIFE-SIM 2021 has come to an end, the participants have returned home and have taken stock. Among those who consider themselves winners after attending the fair is the team WoodMatic. They said so at the fair, they said it afterwards. For WoodMatic, the stakes were perhaps even higher than for the other machine dealers, as it was the first time they had participated in this capacity. The fact that there were various machines on the stand with live demonstrations, that they had interested visitors every day, that the technical team got through the first fair with flying colors, that some machines went to the beneficiaries right from the fair, that contracts were signed for deliveries in the current year, shows that the objectives were achieved.
BIFE-SIM 2021 seen through the WoodMatic prism
We asked Radu Munteanu, the company's sales director, how BIFE-SIM 2021 looked from the WoodMatic stand:
"Although Bucharest was facing an incidence of over 5 per thousand at the time of the fair, people came, showed that they were interested to see the machines, to test them. Although the fair was small, we enjoyed a real appreciation from visitors who praised us for the way we presented ourselves. It's true that the flow of visitors was a bit smaller, but we enjoyed visitors from Oradea, Hunedoara, Suceava, Iași, practically from all over the country. "
Like many others, WoodMatic initially had doubts about attending. The health crisis was making the event unsafe, both in terms of visitors and the actual staging. But they took the risk and accepted the challenge.
"Now, after the fair, we can say that we did very well to attend. BIFE SIM 2021 was a real win for WoodMatic. Thanks to it we made our presence even more known in the industry, in the market, we created solid links with customers, we were able to demonstrate the quality of our products, we established contacts and last but not least, we sold.
The lack of other competitors in the market has contributed to some extent to our success. No, we are not afraid of competition! We know the quality of our products and we can compete on a level playing field with all the machinery suppliers on the market. And in terms of value for money, we are second to none. But the lack of competitors has meant that those who are interested have taken more time to convince themselves of the quality of our machines, of our skill and of the fact that they can have in WoodMatic a serious partner who not only delivers the machine but also the installation and the necessary technical assistance."
Complete lines for medium and large factories
WoodMatic offers a wide range of machines for wood and derived panels processing. At the fair they presented machines considered essential for manufacturers of chipboard and MDF furniture - circular sawing machines, canting machines, CNC drilling machines. They were aimed at small and medium-sized manufacturers as well as large industry players. On the stand you could see at work the moving-table circular or cut-to-pack, the edge banding machine with minimum workgroups, as well as the one with groups for more advanced processing. A brief description of the machines that were present on the stand can be found here here.
Given the rapid and continuing development of digital technologies it's no wonder that there has been a keen interest in computer-aided machines. The WDMAX DN-612MHS 6-sided drilling CNC WDMAX DN-612MHS, the WDX-832C packet-formatting circular WDX-832C and the WM-1325ATC CNC router attracted the most visitors. The live demonstrations even led to the sale of the latter, which went straight from the fair to a company in Prahova. Another machine sold directly from the fair was the WD-323JS canting machine which arrived in Pantelimon, Ilfov.
