WoodMatic achieved its proposed targets for the BIFE-SIM 2021 fair

BIFE-SIM 2021 has ended, participants returned home and took stock. Among those who consider themselves winners after attending the fair is the team WoodMatic. They said this at the fair, they said it and afterwards. For WoodMatic, the stakes were perhaps even higher than for other machinery distributors, as it was the first participation in this capacity. The fact that there were various machines on the stand and live demonstrations, that they had interested visitors every day, that the technical team passed the first fair with flying colours, that some machines went to the beneficiaries right from the fair, that contracts were signed for deliveries in the current year, shows that the objectives were achieved.

BIFE-SIM 2021 seen through the WoodMatic prism

We asked Radu Munteanu, the company's sales director, how BIFE-SIM 2021 was viewed from the WoodMatic stand:

"Although Bucharest was facing an incidence of over 5 per thousand at the time of the fair, people came, showed that they were interested to see the machines, to test them. Although the fair was small, we enjoyed a real appreciation from visitors who praised us for the way we presented ourselves. It's true that the flow of visitors was a bit lower, but we enjoyed visitors from Oradea, Hunedoara, Suceava, Iași, practically from all over the country. "

Like many others, WoodMatic was initially hesitant to participate. The health crisis was making the event unsafe, both in terms of visitors and the actual running. But they took the risk and accepted the challenge.

"Now, after the fair, we can say that we did very well to participate. BIFE SIM 2021 was a real win for WoodMatic. Thanks to it we made our presence even more known in the industry, in the market, we created strong links with customers, we were able to demonstrate the quality of our products, we established contacts and last but not least, we sold.

The lack of other competitors in the market has contributed somewhat to our success. No, we are not afraid of competition! We know the quality of our products and we can compete on equal terms with all machine suppliers in the market. And when it comes to value for money, we have no equal. But the lack of competitors has meant that those interested have taken more time to convince themselves of the quality of the machines, our expertise and the fact that they can have a serious partner in WoodMatic who not only delivers the machine but also the installation and technical support."

Complete lines for medium and large factories

WoodMatic offers a wide range of machinery for processing wood and derived panels. At the fair they presented machines considered essential for manufacturers of chipboard and MDF furniture - circular saws, edgebanders, CNC drills. They targeted both small and medium-sized manufacturers and big players in the industry. On the stand, the moving table circular saw or the packet cutting circular saw, the edge banding machine with a minimum number of work groups and the one with groups for more advanced processing could be seen at work. A brief description of the machines that were present on the stand can be found at here.

Given the rapid and continuous development of digital technologies, it is not surprising that there has been a great interest in computer-aided machinery. The WDMAX DN-612MHS 6-sided drilling CNC, the WDX-832C packet-forming circular knitting machine and the WM-1325ATC CNC router attracted the most visitors. Live demonstrations even led to the sale of the latter, which went straight from the fair to a company in Prahova. Another machine sold directly from the fair was the WD-323JS cant applicator which arrived in Pantelimon, Ilfov.

KDT-WDMAX, a strong and growing brand

WoodMatic distributes WDMAX machines in Romania, a brand of the KDT Machinery Group, one of the most powerful manufacturers of machinery for the furniture industry. The well-known Asian manufacturer recently announced start building a factory dedicated to computer-controlled machinery. The factory, with an effective area of 1600000 m², will be one of the world's largest production capacities for CNCs used in furniture manufacturing. Construction work is expected to be completed in 2023, when actual production will begin. The investment is part of an extensive long-term development plan that aims to further specialise each production centre to enable innovation and the introduction of the latest and smartest technologies. The new factory will have a production capacity of 10,000 CNCs per year.

WoodMatic representatives always speak proudly about the brand they represent, the outstanding performance of the machines and the very good value for money. Ever since the market launch last year, Ciprian Iacob, the company's general manager, talked about fair price of WDMAX machines. Consistent with the ideas of that time, it is still determined to offer the market high-performance machines at affordable prices, relying on its experience as a furniture manufacturer (Sanitop). About fair price of WDMAX machines and how WoodMatic approaches the Romanian market you can also find out from the interview conducted by our colleagues from Mobila Magazine, which you can see here here.
