SCM organizes "Batch One Days" on 27-28 November 2025 in Thiene, Italy

Italian woodworking equipment manufacturer invites industry to Thiene for live demonstrations of edgebanding application solutions. The event is in line with a growing trend of open days organized by woodworking machinery manufacturers.

SCM Group returns with a new edition of the "Batch One Days" event, scheduled for November 27-28 at the SCM Technology Center in Thiene, Italy. The initiative is part of an increasingly visible trend in the woodworking machinery industry, where manufacturers are more and more frequently organizing "open days" events to showcase their solutions directly from the factory.

After the 2024 editions, which featured industrial cant application cells, the Italian company is focusing the new edition on "batch one" production - that production characterized by maximum flexibility and small or single batches.

What will be presented

The event will include live demonstrations of high-tech cant application cells for both panel and door production.

According to the company's press release, the solutions presented integrate robots and automated buffering and panel handling systems, aimed at increasing productivity. The Maestro active watch supervision system, together with the new MES WinMes software, allows real-time monitoring of the production process.

New for door production

Special attention will be paid to the door production cell, which has been enhanced with new finishing units for profile changing, pre-cutting units, trimming units for corner machining and new sectors for radius profiles. These developments aim to increase operational flexibility, both for various profile sizes and for straight or profiled doors.
