Wine barrel flooring

Do you know how influences the oak barrel taste of wine? So too does wood benefit from wine. A chemistry is created, a beautiful friendship is forged with a mutual exchange of aromas, scents and colours.

The maturing of the wine is usually done in oak barrels, just as for the parquet is often chosen all oak wood. The following idea brings together the common element - oak wood - and is one of the most beautiful and interesting ideas for the use of barrels that come out of use.

I am referring to manufacture of parquet or flooring from oak wood from wine barrels.

The deep colour is the result of the impregnation of the wood by the wine during ageing.

The barrels, from the Bordeaux region, are carefully selected for their new use. Once removed, the planks are soaked in water for better colour uniformity. The planks are then glued to the wooden boards and finished with clear varnish to protect the surface. The result is a naturally coloured floor with a unique and sophisticated alternation of shades.

And from American wines comes a beautiful parquet. VWF manages to get strong and spectacular colours from Napa Valley wines.

And to highlight the origin and authenticity of the wood, there is also a variant that highlights the outside of the barrel.

Recommendation: drink the wine and don't try it on the ready-made floor! If you have a big house you'll need a lot of wine to spill on the floor or if the "flooring" is laminate, you won't be able to do even a petiole.
