Miscellaneous - Presentation of wooden houses

Santa's house at the North Pole

Wonder what Santa's house must look like? It was built on an idyllic 10-acre estate and is made entirely of logs that were once trees around these parts. Although it was built in 1822 and has the look and feel of that period, the 2013 renovation has added much-needed comfort.

The Log House of Mrs. and Mr. Christmas

I invite you into the house! The entrance is welcoming, with a coat rack decorated with fir trees for Santa's clothes, a bench with a thick plank of wood, and a picture of our favorite reindeer on the wall. From here we enter the living room where the Christmas tree is waiting for us ready decorated. The rocking chair where Mrs. Claus is knitting scarves and stockings is next to a fireplace decorated from top to bottom with river stones.

We continue our visit and end up in the kitchen. A beautiful wooden table awaits us, beautifully decorated with pine twigs and cones, Xmas cones and candles. But also freshly baked cookies from the modern oven with 12 different programs to bake cakes.

The house has 3 bedrooms. The main one, for Santa and his Mrs. Claus, with a generous and cozy wooden bed, heated by wood. The other two bedrooms are for guests. Santa made sure that none of the visitors would be left out in the cold. The downstairs bedroom has a gorgeous wooden bed with a high wooden headboard as its centerpiece. The generous windows offer an unforgettable view of the snow-covered fir trees.

In the attic there is another sleeping area with bunk beds made from logs.

We tiptoe into Santa's office where we are greeted by prototypes of toys made over the years. There's also the typewriter where Santa writes answers for the children, and Mrs. Claus's stocking sewing machine for presents.

The Christmas atmosphere is also in the bathroom. As well as all the essentials, you'll also find the traditional wreath made from fir branches.

Outside, on the field, there's a toy-making workshop with work stations for 50 craftsmen, a sleigh garage, Santa's reindeer stable, barbecue, even a river.

Santa's house has been featured on one of the world's most popular real estate websites and is valued at 657,000 $, but can also be rented for 3300 $/month.
