Miscellaneous - Presentation of wooden houses

Santa's house at the North Pole

Wondering what Santa's house might look like? It was built on an idyllic 10-acre estate and is made entirely of logs that were once trees in the area. Although it was built in 1822 and has the look of that period, the 2013 renovation added much needed comfort.

I invite you into the house! The entrance is welcoming, with a coat rack decorated with fir trees for Santa's clothes, a bench with a thick wooden plank, and a picture of your favorite reindeer on the wall. From here we enter the living room where the tree awaits us ready decorated. The rocking chair where Mrs. Claus knits scarves and socks is next to a fireplace decorated from top to bottom with river rock.

We continue our visit and end up in the kitchen. A wooden table is waiting for us, beautifully decorated with fir branches and cones, Christmas trees and candles. But also with freshly baked cakes from the modern oven, with 12 different baking programs.

The house has 3 bedrooms. A main one, for Santa and his lady, with a generous and cosy wooden bed, where the heating is wood-fired. The other two bedrooms are for guests. Santa has made sure that none of the visitors will be left in the cold. The downstairs bedroom has as its centrepiece a gorgeous wooden bed with a high headboard. Generous windows offer an unforgettable view of the snow-filled fir trees.

In the attic there is another sleeping space with bunk beds made of logs.

Tiptoeing into Santa's office where prototypes of toys made over the years greet us. There's also the typewriter on which Santa writes answers to the children, and Mrs Christmas' stocking sewing machine for presents.

The Christmas atmosphere can also be found in the bathroom. In addition to all the essentials, you'll also find the traditional wreath made from fir branches.

Outside on the field, there is a workshop for building toys, with work stations for 50 craftsmen, a garage for the sleigh, a stable for Santa's reindeer, a barbecue, even a river.

Santa's house has been featured on one of the world's most popular real estate websites and is valued at 657,000 $, but can also be rented for 3300 $/month.
