It's September and those of us involved in the timber industry know that this is the month to meet at BIFE SIM fair for furniture, equipment and accessories which will take place from September 13-17 at Romexpo Bucharest. Last year we told you that we a long relationship with this fair. We participated as a representative of a specialized institute, then with the finishing products that we distributed to the factories that processed wood and now, the second year that we will be there with the Wood Magazine, this time with the printed edition.
But I don't want to tell you about us, I want to tell you about why I believe that everyone who works with wood and can come to Bucharest (I know this is the most difficult part) should come to see this fair. And here I am not referring to the big producers, they are present every year (more than sure) as exhibitors. I am talking about small and medium-sized producers, those who are not interested in the Romanian market, carpenters with a small workshop, those who process wood without making furniture.
In fact it's a fair for everyone. There is something interesting for everyone. There are free demonstrations on machinesWith technicians at every stand to answer any questions, you can get free information about any machine, equipment, accessory you are interested in. You can compare products and see what best suits your type of business.
And if you don't have or aren't involved in a wood-related business, you can come and see a huge range of furniture to suit all tastes and pockets, carved or futuristic furniture. The design side was well represented last year and looks set to be even better this year. What's more, Romexpo has announced that furniture manufacturers have special offers lined up for the fair, so whichever way you look at it, you're bound to come out a winner.
But the big win at the fair is the information you get, which is infinitely more valuable than a ticket. You can see what the trends are, where the industry is going, the latest news. It can give you ideas, it can help you do what you've been doing better and maybe even easier.
I was telling you about the printed edition of the Wood Magazine, which will be at the fair. We put out this edition in collaboration with industry partners. From talking to them, I saw that everyone is coming up with something new, whether they make furniture, sell machinery or materials and accessories for furniture, for wood in general. I talked to them not as a media person but from the perspective of someone who has lived in this industry all his life and is continuously interested in what's new. And I tell you in all honesty, I learned some really interesting things. That's why in the next few days I have decided to tell you some of the news you will find at BIFE-SIM this year.
I've been attending the fair for over 20 years and in all those years, even if not everything has been rosy or perfect, attending has proven to be a win-win. And I don't mean an immediate material gain, but a much more important one related to information, solutions, know-how, innovations, trends. In short, it is a fair worth seeing, take my word for it!
