International Furniture Fair in September 2017

BIFE-SIM, the largest international trade fair of furniture, equipment and accessories in Romania, took place from September 13 to 17, 2017, at Romexpo and we already have some impressions about this edition.

Through BIFE-SIM, Romexpo supports Romanian manufacturers and importers and provides them with an exhibition platform organized to international standards, a space where for five days they present their products and services. products and services directly to those interested in purchasing them.

BIFE-SIM brings to the forefront both the technologies and methods used to make furniture pieces, as well as the latest styles. Manufacturers from all over the world exhibit and showcase classic and modern furniture, made from solid wood, combined with various materials and accessories (leather, glass, decorative textiles) or even hand-painted.

The event is organized by ROMEXPO in strategic partnership with the Association of Romanian Furniture Manufacturers (APMR) and together with the Romanian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCIR) and the Romanian Furniture Club Association (ACRM)."BIFE - SIM has become a prestigious exhibition, where demand is increasing from one year to the next. We are glad that there is this interest and the good news that we want to give to those who want bigger stands to exhibit their products is that ROMEXPO will expand very soon and next year's edition will allow us another approach to the International Furniture, Equipment and Accessories Fair BIFE - SIM. As you know, work is already underway and ROMEXPO has committed that the new exhibition halls will be ready by the end of this year. We have already discussed the booking of the new pavilions for next year's BIFE-SIM. BIFE-SIM is the source of inspiration for those who want to keep abreast of the latest concepts in furniture production and providing visitors with useful information about worldwide trends in furniture design," said Aurica Sereny, President of APMR.

"BIFE-SIM 2017 also stands out for the participation of foreign companies, the degree of internationalization of this edition being 18%, an increase of five percent compared to the previous edition. International participants are interested in establishing business relations with Romanian manufacturers, which increases the quality of exports and imports on the furniture and woodworking market", said Mihai Costriș, ROMEXPO General Director.

Visitors to BIFE-SIM benefited from special offers that over 300 exhibiting companies (manufacturers, distributors and importers) from 14 countries promoted throughout the fair, as well as advice on how to purchase the right furniture for different spaces and budgets. Thus, countries such as: Austria, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Russia, Ukraine.

BIFE-SIM 2017 has been conceptually organized in six salons, to choose the products and services that meet everyone's needs:

●Classic (Pavilions C1 and C2) - classic, solid wood furniture, made by adding elements that give the pieces an imposing elegance;
​ ●Design (Pavilions C4 and C5) - modern and versatile furniture, adapted to a trendy lifestyle and meeting the needs of small spaces where storage solutions make the difference;

●Comfort (Pavilions C4 and C5) - pieces of furniture that make your home or office comfortable, sofas and armchairs;

●Kitchens (Pavilion C3) - furniture in different styles: contemporary, modern, eclectic or rustic, with pieces designed to make kitchens versatile spaces, whatever their size;

●Decorations and lighting (Pavilion C6) - decorative objects, chandeliers and chandeliers to suit any space and budget;

●Equipment, Machinery, Machinery, Raw Materials and Accessories (Hall A) - the fair where specialist visitors socialize with manufacturers and importers and can consult their offers, in order to develop business aimed at adding value to furniture production.

Throughout the BIFE-SIM there were practical demonstrations from which those interested can leave with more information about the characteristics and how to make the furniture they want to purchase, whether for home and garden, offices or other spaces.

BIFE-SIM related events
Side events at BIFE-SIM include interior design simulations, conferences and seminars, raffles with prizes for visitors.

One of these events is the Design Conference, organized by Romexpo, in partnership with Dizainăr, Atelierul Magazine and UAUIM - Faculty of Architecture.
Now in its 6th edition, the conference addresses topics such as promotion and sales in design, valorization of product design culture in Romania. 16 speakers (marketing and promotion specialists, designers with successful businesses, well-known manufacturers, young entrepreneurs and people of culture) present effective solutions for young designers who want to gain notoriety or want to become entrepreneurs in this field.

During the BIFE-SIM days there was also the Visitor's Tombola, with prizes offered by the participating companies, consisting of furniture and interior design items, including: paintings, sets of ambient candles, wall clocks, decorative paints, consultancy and a customized project for the execution of a solid wood interior staircase.
