Based on the fact that every home requires customized protection, all standard Artech hardware components have been designed to offer burglar-resistant solutions on different security levels. Ground floor windows and doors are particularly exposed to the risk of burglary. A high degree of security is therefore required at this level, while on the more difficult-to-access upper floors, basic protection is usually sufficient. For perfect burglary protection on every floor, AGB offers several levels of protection. Poseidon TT is a window hardware made to withstand burglary and more. It is a locking device that is different from what is currently available on the market, and visibly increases the level of protection it can offer. The system is composed of two opposing hooks that enter and lock into dedicated, highly resistant blockers that prevent any shifting or displacement of the hinge.

The Poseidon TT range of accessories has been designed for both the bottom transom and the vertical mullions (hinge and espagnolette parts), including elements that can be used for most types and sizes of windows.

• The standard mushroom bed provided for all perimeter hardware is made from a single piece of steel. This choice has been made to increase stability and avoid the problems of self-adjusting components (less efficient in terms of pressure and burglary resistance).

• The open-base opposers, together with the adjustable cams, allow for extensive hardware adjustments, with the guarantee that the closing points maintain the same pressure and burglar performance at any adjustment position. The U-shape of the hardened steel opposers allows the cam to fit perfectly, making it impossible for the cam to slip. The result is a joinery system that allows RC2 and RC3 classification using standard off-the-shelf components.

• zamak shutters with concealed screws offer the guarantee of RC1 burglar resistance and are a unique solution appreciated by architects and users alike. Concealed screw caps revolutionize the concept of joinery design.

With the Poseidon TT system, the window falls into the RC2/3 PLUS burglar class and the break-in time is extended from 5 minutes (standard RC2) to 20 minutes (well above the standard). The standardized resistance classes (RC) describe the minimum time a window or door must resist an attack with a defined set of tools. Thus, in order to provide systems that fulfill the security promises, AGB tests each product in its own laboratory. And to be assigned to a resistance class according to EN standards, it is tested by an accredited and certified testing institute.
