The LX50START saw is the second model in the LX50 range of compact and economical Wood-Mizer machines, which together with the LX50CLASSIC is a perfect choice for farm owners, forest owners and all users who regularly cut logs and produce timber on their own.
All saws in the LX range feature a double-sided saw head feed system, which ensures increased stability and precision when sawing. The LX50START can cut logs up to 60 cm in diameter and can produce 40 cm wide planks or beams.
The LX50START saw head is equipped with a manual feed system with up/down and forward/backward movement, allowing stable and intuitive operation. The saw blade cleaning system keeps the saw blade, handwheel and guide rollers clean, effectively removing sawdust, resin or bark from the processed wood. The blade tensioning mechanism and blade guide arm reduce vibration and ensure high cutting accuracy.
The frame of the LX50START is made of high quality steel, and in the standard version, the bed consists of three segments with a total length of 3.2m. The bed can be extended with more segments (each 1.33 m long) for cutting longer logs. The standard S3-type bed has two sturdy side supports and a center log clamp, but can be optionally equipped with a set of adjustable bed-balancing legs. Some useful machining accessories for the LX50START include a hook for loading and turning logs on the saw bed and a tapered wedge for clamping uneven logs.

The LX50START model uses a 1 mm thick, 32 mm wide web that requires minimal engine power, low fuel consumption or electricity. LX50START is available in the Wood-Mizer online shop and through your local sales representative. It is delivered on a single 160 x 65 x 100 cm pallet, and the simple assembly allows you to start logging the same day. All necessary manuals and instruction videos are available online.
