Wood-Mizer Systems lines for industrial woodworking presented at LIGNA 2023

At LIGNA, Wood-Mizer presented its best and most advanced lines Wood-Mizer Systems, including that designed for processing large volumes of timber on the industrial sawmill WB2000 and that developed for processing logs into pallet planks, built on the basis of TVS-HD double vertical saw. In addition, Wood-Mizer presented the most advanced and robust solution for the wood processing industry - EA3000 Optimizing Edger.

Since its introduction in 2015, many wood processing companies around the world have installed Wood-Mizer WB2000 industrial saw Wood-Mizer WB2000, increasing productivity by two to three times. The WB2000 Industrial Wood-Mizer WB2000 Wood-Mizer is a machine that combines the benefits of narrow and wide band saw blade technology - an efficient high-performance cutting saw head designed to work with 50 mm or 75 mm wide or 100 mm Stellite saw blades, a massive hydraulic log handling bed and a host of features for easy operation.

During LIGNA, the WB2000 industrial saw was equipped with a new operator cabin to increase safety and comfort. An insulated and spacious cab provides a comfortable working environment and clear visibility during the cutting process. Easy operation of the saw from the cab is made possible with up to four mounted video cameras monitoring the entire process and a 12-inch touch screen with two joysticks for activating functions and controlling cutting parameters. 

The modern and durable design of the saw bed, with a cutting capacity of 6 tons, is built on two sturdy C-shaped steel beams (400 x 110 mm). The bed has the most advanced hydraulic log handling features, including log clamps, chain sprockets, drive rollers, side supports and grapple clamps. Log handling components are modular and can be customized to meet the individual requirements of each job.

The WB2000 industrial saw can be used as an efficient, stand-alone machine or as part of an industrial processing line for high-volume, high-performance, automated lumber production. Wide hydraulic configurations and saw bed extensions make it a universal machine for processing logs of different diameters, lengths and densities.  

WB2000 industrial saw, with log deck, sorting table and MR200 twin-shaft saw, make up a highly efficient processing line designed for large enterprises. The bridge for fast and safe loading The log length is configurable between 3.6 m and 6 m and 2-3 transport chains (also available in Heavy-Duty version). Behind the saw is a modular sorting table for automatic material reception and directing it to further processing. The individual modules (each 3 m long) can be joined in groups and multiplied to build sorting areas. A processing line can also be extended with more machines and equipment, e.g. on the left and right side, slides or collecting areas, hemming circulars or several saws could be installed. A conveyor could also be installed to collect the material, transporting the quantities to the multi-blade saw and the chips to the chipper. 

MR200 Multi-blade saw with double arbor is the perfect industrial machine to add productivity to a log saw and reduce the time and labor required to cut prisms. It's a worthwhile investment for large, high-production mills, given the reliability, accuracy and versatility of this machine. Its compact and functional design includes a centralized control panel, variable feed speed (1.5-15 m/min), laser pointer and feed assist roller, modular heavy-duty input and output tables, 3 drive rollers and an optional built-in shredder. The MR200 Sawmill operates with up to 12 circular blades on each spindle, significantly speeding up the throughput process. It can cut timber up to 540 mm wide and 200 mm thick.
