On April 1, 2024, Andreas Böhm took over as CEO of Vollmer. Böhm replaces former managing directors Dr. Stefan Brand and Jürgen Hauger.
Böhm brings to Vollmer more than 25 years of experience with the Liebherr Group, where he held various management positions in China, Ireland and Germany, and served on the Board of Management of Liebherr-International AG from 2011 to 2022.
"Throughout my work at Liebherr, I have not only familiarized myself with mechanical engineering, but also with the mentality of the Swabians. I would like to use my international experience to advance Vollmer as a global and innovative partner in the tooling industry," said Andreas Böhm.
For Böhm, it is essential to preserve Vollmer's family-oriented tradition while aligning the company with today's international challenges. The stated goal of the Vollmer Group is to continue on the path followed for decades, as a technology leader and service company, and as an innovative partner in the tool industry.
"We wish Andreas Böhm all the best and are delighted that Vollmer is welcoming a CEO who will continue to lead the company in the spirit of the previous leadership and the company's 115-year tradition," said Martin Kapp, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Vollmer.
Founded in 1909, Vollmer is headquartered in Biberach, Germany, and over the years has grown to expand its presence in international markets. The company is recognized globally for its solutions for the metalworking and woodworking industries. Vollmer offers a wide range of products that include automatic sharpening machines for various types of cutting tools, measuring systems and more.
