• From Xylexpo 2024 we bring you news of the new KDT 706 BHT KDT 706 BHT edgebanding machine. • Get ready for imm cologne 2025! The world's leading furniture and interior design trade fair returns from January 12 to 16 with new exhibition formats adapted to all types of exhibitors. There will be inspirational installations "The Circles", a summit of German industry associations and many other surprises. • Did you know that the volume "Adhesives in the furniture industry" has recently been published in English? The book gives an overview of the practical applications of adhesives in furniture production, from theory to tests and recommendations. Author Franco Bulian, director of Catas, has decades of experience in the field. The 300-page volume can be a valuable resource for those who want to better understand the 'family' of adhesives. • Locally, Romexpo awaits you at BIFE-SIM 2024 - the largest furniture, equipment and accessories fair in Romania - with a new concept: the #BifeSim2024 community. Together with the Association of Furniture Manufacturers, Romexpo aims to offer exhibitors an ideal setting for networking and mutual inspiration in the industry. • Also from the sphere of international trade fairs, Barberán presented at Xylexpo 2024 the latest coating, laminating, finishing and printing technologies for wood and beyond. Highlights include a profile coating machine with computer-controlled automatic primer application system and the system for automatically changing sandpaper rolls without interrupting production. Barberán already has 100 digital printing lines installed worldwide, capable of printing up to 120 m/min. Details here. [link]
• In Italy, the Cefla group posted record results in 2023, despite the complicated global context. Consolidated turnover reached €684.9 million, with a net profit of €66 million. The focus on energy transition, innovation and careful supply chain management enabled Cefla to weather a period of major challenges. Investments in R&D (€13.5 million) and sustainability remain priorities for the group. [link]
