At the general assembly held on June 3 in Baggiovara (Modena), members Acimall - the Confindustria member association representing Italian manufacturers of technology for the wood and furniture industry - have taken a very important decision. They voted unanimously on the board's proposal to create a new association, Confindustria Federation of Machinery for Ceramics, Wood, Plastics and Rubber, Packing and Packaging (Confindustria Federation for ceramic, wood, plastic and rubber machinery, packaging and wrapping).
The new entity will represent approximately 1,300 companies Italian with 70,000 employees and a total turnover of 19 billion euros, of which over 75% is generated by exports. The Federation will provide a stronger representation not only within Confindustria but also in Italy's political and economic life, making a solid contribution to the country's trade balance.
Aggregation will provide additional services, advice and training to member companies of the associations Acimall, Acimac (ceramic technologies), Amaplast (plastic machines) and Ucima (packaging technology), the four Confindustria associations that have joined the project so far.
Acimall President, Enrico Aurelione of the early backers of this ambitious project, said: "It's time to make new choices that help tool goods manufacturers face an increasingly competitive market with smarter tools. Partnering with Acimac, Amaplast and Ucima will help us to represent our positions even more effectively in an increasingly global scenario, where the challenge from China and other emerging countries must be met with equal rules for all. Together, we will provide broader answers to the challenging topic of green transition of our companies and the myriad new issues our entrepreneurs face in a world of increasingly complex challenges".
