At this year's edition of Xylexpo fair in Milan, the WoodIndustry.News team had the pleasure to talk to representatives of SARMAX, an Italian company with a strong presence in the woodworking machinery market. Founded in 2003 by Andrea Reggiani, SARMAX has grown steadily in its 22 years of existence. 1. APACHE 15: A large impregnation machine capable of processing massive beams. It uses an innovative air system for even impregnant distribution.
2. APACHE 5: A more compact version, but with the same advanced technological features, including Teflon coating and patented quick-change roller system.
3. Brushing and rusticating machines: These can create great aesthetic effects, highlighting the wood grain. A notable example is the 'saw' effect, popular in luxury homes in Italy.
4. Spray painting machines: allow precise paint application with micron-level adjustments.
5. Carpentry finishing machinery: covers a wide range of products from doors and frames to shutters.
6. Window smoothing machines: A recent innovation that reduces the need for sanding between coats of paint, saving time and resources.

Global expansion and market adaptation

SARMAX started as a company focused on the Italian market, but quickly expanded into countries such as Spain and France. Today, the company has a strong presence throughout Europe, including Romania, where it collaborates with Ligna Dumitech from Brasov. In recent years, SARMAX has also entered the markets of the United States, Canada and Australia.
