The Hettich Group, one of the world's largest manufacturers of furniture hardware, has decided to expand its many-to-many organizational culture. This change marks a new milestone in the company's 135-year history.
From 2025, Hettich will intensify its distributed leadership structure, in which responsibilities are divided among several teams and specialists. Against this backdrop, Sascha Groß, the current CEO of Hettich Holding, has announced that he will be leaving the company to explore new career opportunities.
"This decision reflects my desire to explore new directions and to develop both professionally and personally," explains Groß, who in his 20 years at Hettich has contributed significantly to the company's international expansion and global strategic development.
Dr. Andreas Hettich, Chairman of the Advisory Board and shareholder of the Hettich Group, highlighted the valuable contribution of Sascha Groß, especially in the last seven years: "We are very grateful for the road we have traveled together and the successes we have achieved."
Distributed leadership, known at Hettich as the "many-to-many" culture, is a modern approach to management that moves away from traditional hierarchical structures. In this model, decisions and responsibilities are no longer concentrated exclusively at the top management level, but are distributed among teams and specialists who collaborate in a network. It is like replacing a pyramidal system with a network of interconnected experts, where each member can contribute their specific expertise to the right projects. This leadership style encourages innovation, flexibility and more effective use of talent in the organization.
In recent years, the traditional management functions within the Hettich Group have undergone a gradual transformation, with many tasks being taken over by specialists or expert networks. This change has significantly strengthened the company's market position.
Looking to the future, Hettich's 8,600 employees around the world will have the opportunity to capitalize even more intensively on their strengths, passions and ideas by leading projects close to their areas of expertise. Customers of the Hettich Group will retain their established contacts within the company and will continue to be able to rely on the familiar set of values of the Hettich and FGV brands.
This transition to a distributed management model reflects Hettich's commitment to its core values of trust, personal responsibility and creativity, demonstrating the company's ability to adapt and evolve in the current market context.
