Wood Professionals Weekend 2025 - A new community meeting in Sibiu, Romania

After the success the first carpenters' meeting organized last year in Sibiu, Romania, the community is coming together again, this time in an expanded format, for two intensive days dedicated to professionals and enthusiasts in the wood industry. The event, hosted by Mihai Ursu - Creative Bear - on January 24-25, 2025, promises to be an important milestone for the development of professional relationships in the field.

Revista din Lemn participates, as last year, in this event that takes place in the heart of Transylvania. The experience of the first edition has shown us that there is a real interest in face-to-face meetings, where professionals can share experiences, discuss everyday challenges and explore new opportunities for collaboration.

This year's program is structured in two distinct days. The first day, Friday, January 24, is dedicated to hands-on testing of state-of-the-art equipment. Participants will have the opportunity to experiment with the new products launched by Festool, such as the ETSC 2 150 sander and the CTM 26 EI AC vacuum cleaner, as well as professional equipment offered by Oblu.ro, including the JET JPT-310HH roughing and planing machine.

Saturday brings a rich program of presentations and thematic discussions. After the technical sessions in the morning, the afternoon is reserved for topics essential to the development of the field: from the challenges and opportunities of a joinery workshop, to professional association initiatives and debates on traditional versus modern wood joining techniques.

A special aspect of the event is the presence of specialists from various areas of the industry. Moderators such as Fane Pănăzan, Mihai Ursu and Emil Baciu will facilitate discussions on interesting topics for the development of craftsmanship and business in the field.

Revista din Lemn will give a presentation about the "WOOD HUB" concept, an initiative that aims to create a platform for collaboration and growth for professionals in the field. We strongly believe that such events are the foundation of a strong and united community.
