The 63rd edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano officially opened the doors of the exhibition

The most important design and furniture exhibition in the world has started. Salone del Mobile.Milano 2025 opens its doors today for specialists and enthusiasts, bringing together more than 2,100 exhibitors from 37 countries in an exhibition space of over 169,000 m² at Fiera Milano, Rho.

The event which runs from April 8-13 under the theme "Thought for Humans." transforms Milan into the design capital of the world, bringing together established names and young talent in a vision that puts people and their needs at the center.

An edition impressive in numbers and diversity

This year's edition of Il Salone also brings freshness and applauded returns: 168 brands are making their debut in the Milanese design universe, while 91 exhibitors are returning with fresh impetus after an absence, reflecting the prestige and appeal of this iconic event. With 451TPTP3T of the 306 Euroluce exhibitors coming from abroad, the show confirms its profoundly international character.

Maria Porro, President of Salone del Mobile.Milano, underlined: "Since 1961, Salone del Mobile has been an ecosystem that combines business, culture and networking, generating concrete value for industrial production in a dynamic dimension, reflecting changes in design, living, business and design culture."

Extensive cultural program and spectacular installations

In addition to the exhibition stands, visitors will be able to explore four special projects:

"Mother - installation by artist Robert Wilson at the Museo della Pietà Rondanini in Castello Sforzesco
"Library of Light - British artist Es Devlin in the Cortile d'Onore of the Pinacoteca di Brera
"La dolce attesa" - installation by Oscar-winning director Paolo Sorrentino
"Heritage Villa - an interior concept by architect Pierre-Yves Rochon

A magnet for lovers of innovation will be the Euroluce International Lighting Forum, where more than 20 speakers from the global stage will come together for a dialog about the future of 'lighting' - a realm where technology and the poetry of form meet under the spotlight of creativity.

SaloneSatellite - platform for young talents

After celebrating 25 years in 2024, SaloneSatellite returns with 700 designers from 36 countries and 20 international design schools and universities. Under the theme "NUOVO ARTIGIANATO: UN MONDO NUOVO / NEW CRAFTSMANSHIP: A NEW WORLD", young designers are invited to reimagine the world of craftsmanship.

A sustainable vision for the future

This year's edition of Salone puts a special emphasis on sustainability. The event has achieved ISO 20121 certification for sustainable event management and encourages exhibiting companies to design and build their stands in compliance with the Green Guidelines, in line with the Salone Sustainability Policy.
