From rough plank to perfect wainscoting. In a single pass. With one hand.
Our visit to the Wood-Mizer stand
In the series Hub on Tour at BIFE-SIM 2025, we had the pleasure of being welcomed at the Wood-Mizer, our Platinum Partner, by Marius Frățilă, who showed us what it is capable of model MP360 - a four-sided planer that redefines versatility in the woodworking shop.
The demonstration that speaks for itself
What impressed us the most was not just the technical performance of the machine, but the simplicity with which Marius operated the machine. No complicated moves, no lengthy adjustments - just a plank fresh out of the banzic going in one end and fully completed wainscoting coming out the other.
"It doesn't take much schooling. You just need the will to work, you just need to like wood" - says Marius, summing up the Wood-Mizer philosophy perfectly: affordable technology for passionate professionals.
MP360 - Technical Specifications
Standard configuration - 4 sides simultaneously
Wood-Mizer MP360 is equipped with 5 engines working simultaneously to completely profile the piece of wood:
- Capacity on 4 sides: 350 mm width × 160 mm height
- Complete processing: nut, stink, top and bottom finish
- Simplified operation: can even be operated with one hand
Impressive versatility
What makes MP360 really special is its adaptability to different production needs:
Processing on 2 sides:
- Maximum width: 410 mm
- Maximum height: 230 mm
Simple straightening (single-sided):
- Maximum width: 510 mm
- Maximum height: 230 mm
This versatility means that one car can cover a wide range of production - from standard paneling to massive construction beams.
Practical benefits for your workshop
1. Saving time
Instead of running the part through multiple machines (circular for sizing, face straightening, milling for nut and stump), MP360 does it all in one pass. What would take 15-20 minutes manually is done in seconds.
2. Consistency and quality
The 5 synchronized motors ensure that each piece comes out identical, eliminating the variations that occur in manual or semi-automated processing.
3. Ease of operation
As Marius showed us, you don't need super-specialized operators. Training is quick and operation is intuitive. Even a beginner can produce professional quality parts after a few hours of practice.
4. Waste reduction
Precise processing means fewer scrap parts and more efficient use of raw materials - crucial in the context of rising timber prices.
5. The material must be dry
Important advice from Marius: "It is very important that the material is dry. Knives can get very heavy loads of sawdust if the material is not dry." This is not a limitation, but a good practice that ensures the longevity of the machine and the quality of the finish.
Special offer BIFE-SIM 2025
Wood-Mizer has prepared a limited offer for BIFE-SIM 2025 participants and visitors:
MP360 for the price of 16.100 EUR (instead of approx. 18.000 EUR - saving almost 2.000 EUR!)
This reduction represents a excellent opportunity for workshops that want to make the leap to automation and efficiency without compromising their budget, especially since it is valid until October 15, 2025.
Who is the MP360 suitable for?
Expanding carpentry workshops
If you produce wainscoting, parquet, decorative profiles or any type of parts with a constant cross-section, MP360 is fast becoming indispensable. The ability to process large volumes quickly allows you to accept larger orders.
Manufacturers of wooden houses
For timber frame structures or solid wood houses, the ability to profile beams up to 510 mm wide is a major advantage. You can produce your own structural profiles to project specifications.
Custom furniture workshops
Even if you don't mass produce, MP360 versatility allows you to quickly make specific profiles for your specific pieces - from panelling for interior finishes to decorative profiles for furniture.
Timber traders
If you sell processed material, MP360 lets you add value raw materials and provide your customers with finished products, increasing your profit margins significantly.

The calculation is simple:
- Time saved = more orders processed

Verdict Wood magazine
Wood-Mizer MP360 is exactly the kind of machine that demonstrates that advanced technology does not necessarily mean complicated. It's fast, efficient, versatile and - most importantly - accessible both in terms of price and usability.
