Wooden bathtubs and sinks, bathrooms with rustic or modern design

Lately there is a growing trend to design bathrooms differently. How differently, you ask? I mean other than those mega-famous designs that have the standard bathroom furniture, with the white washbasin mask, the mirrored cupboard above the sink, where when you open the doors the lights come on. Plus the welded towel cabinet, with swivel (or not) around its own axis. You know the rest - the sink, the bathtub, the toilet bowl, all white ceramic, with rare deviations in color. But it gets much better.

Simple or combined with other materials

In my research for documentation, I discovered a lot of ideas that I think you can use in your bathroom design too, if you are more non-conformist. I've also found otherwise, sometimes prohibitively expensive sanitary ware, so let's enjoy the ideas.

For starters, here are a few 'no cost to look' bathtubs from the Swiss manufacturer Bathroom Sasso Furniture. The crates are handcrafted from wood combined with steel and glass, using the latest high-tech technology. And some wooden sinks with a modern and atypical design.

Atypical amenities

The bathroom can also be otherwiseWhether rustic or modern. For a rustic setting, barrels are a favorite. They are used both as a bathtub and as a sink or sink mask. In such a setting, a felie of tree trunk looks perfect as a sink stand.

Modern ones are usually minimalist in design. Wood is used for flooring, wall or bath cladding, but also for partition walls. Wooden bathroom sinks or bathtubs are used, or wood is used as a support for sinks. Wooden cosmetic polishes can also be made from wood. To create a special atmosphere, bathrooms are decorated with decorative flowers and plants, white or colored stones, paintings or spotlights.

Baths can be designed to represent us. This can be done with smaller investments, not necessarily at very high cost. The important thing is to think outside the box and let your imagination run wild. Classic pieces of furniture can be replaced with atypical ones, transforming an impersonal space into another part of what it is home.
