Wooden bathtubs and sinks, bathrooms with rustic or modern design

Lately there is a growing trend to design bathrooms differently. How else, you ask? I mean other than those mega-famous fittings that have standard bathroom furniture, with a white sink mask, mirrored cabinet above the sink, where when you open the doors the lights come on. Plus the welded towel cupboard, with a swivel (or not) around its own axis. The rest you know - sink, bath, toilet bowl, all white ceramic, with rare deviations from colour. But it gets better.

Simple wooden bathtubs or combined with other materials

In my research for documentation, I discovered a lot of ideas that I think you can use in your bathroom design if you are more nonconformist. I've also found sanitary ware otherwise, sometimes prohibitively priced, so let's enjoy the ideas.

To begin with, a few bathtubs, from the "watching doesn't cost" category, made by the Swiss manufacturer Bathroom Sasso Furniture. The crates are handmade from wood combined with steel and glass using the latest high-tech technology. And some wooden sinks, with a modern and atypical design.

Atypical arrangements

The bathroom can also be otherwise, whether we want it rustic or modern. For a rustic setting, barrels are the favourite. They can be used as a bathtub, washbasin or sink mask. In such a design, a felie tree trunk looks perfect as a sink holder.

Modern ones are usually minimalist in design. Wood is used for flooring, wall and floor cladding and for partition walls. Wooden sinks or bathtubs are used, or wood is used as a support for sinks. Cosmetic poles can also be made from wood. To create a special atmosphere, bathrooms are decorated with decorative flowers and plants, white or coloured stones, paintings or spotlights.

Bathrooms can be designed to represent us. This can also be done with smaller investments, not necessarily at great cost. The important thing is to break out of the mould and let your imagination do the work. Classic pieces of furniture can be replaced with atypical ones, transforming an impersonal space into another part of what it represents. home.
