Business - Furniture

A satisfied customer can get you across the border

I collaborate with Oana Popovici, owner of the company Euromob Style from Targoviste, since I started my activity as a distributor of wood finishing products, that is for almost 20 years. In fact, I started working with her father, after which she took over. During all this time we have helped and supported each other in difficult times, which has led to a beautiful and strong friendship.

From bathroom furniture to apartment design

They started with chipboard and MDF and for a few years made bathroom furniture. Seeing that there was a demand for that kind of furniture in living rooms, bedrooms and children's rooms, he started to extend the range. In time he thought it wouldn't hurt to start working with solid wood. It wasn't easy because there were problems with dimensional variations in the wood, cracking, staining and the whole range of unpleasant experiences you can have with solid wood. But in the end it worked out.

The other day I was visiting the factory, as I do from time to time, and we chatted over coffee as usual ☺. She told me the latest story of her life as a furniture maker, a beautiful story I want to share with you.

And speaking of wooden furniture. She couldn't wait to show me the bedroom furniture (red walnut) she had just made - with slightly curved-leg chests of genunchclassic-style i's, curved closet doors and other wonders. He was very sorry they hadn't had time to install it and see it in its final form. But, you know, when you do things to the client's liking, you have a lot of work to do.

How did he end up cross the border

Several years ago, Oana furnished the entire house for a local client. She took the necessary measurements, made the designs according to the client's requirements, made the furniture in her own factory and assembled it in the client's home. It took a while, as it was quite a big job, but in the end everyone was satisfied.

After a while the client left Romania and moved to another country in Europe. He bought an old house there, which he wants to fix up and furnish. Guess who he wants to do this with? Exactly, Oana. It's a question of money, you might say, Romanian producers work cheap and well. There's certainly a grain of truth there. But if the client wasn't satisfied, would he come back to Euromob? Even if it was very cheap! And I forgot to tell you - the client invited Oana, to see and measure the house. When I went to see her, she had just returned from there.

Isn't that a beautiful story? And more importantly, true! I promise to come back with photos when the furniture is ready. I'm sure you'll like it.
