Wood-Mizer at LIGNA 2017

With many new products debuting in the global wood industry, LIGNA 2017 was very important for Wood-Mizer and the largest international woodworking exhibition did not disappoint - it was the best Wood-Mizer experience at LIGNA in the last 10 years.

The WB2000 Wide Band Saw can cut large diameter logs from 2.4 m up to 12 m in length.

At LIGNA 2017, Wood-Mizer premiered several new products, the TITAN wide-plank bandsaw range, a new version of the popular WB2000 bandsaw, a new line of LX double-rail bandsaws for professional bandsaw operators, plus a firewood processor and pallet dismantler. These new products were in addition to the traditional stationary and mobile bandsaws on display and the HR700 multi-head HR700 multi-head cross-cut bandsaw with carousel systemhe for the return of the prisms.

The affordable LX150 bandsaw offers a wide cutting capacity.

Wood-Mizer's wide range of bandsaw blades and blade maintenance equipment was also represented and new blade technologies were demonstrated, such as the new VORTEX sawdust-removing VORTEX blade on the HR700 cross-cut saw and the new LX450 LX450 cross-cut saw.

Wood-Mizer TOOLS - a product range of circular saw blades, frame saw blades, planing knives, wide-blade saw blades and more - initially debuted at LIGNA 2015 and, after two years of development, the TOOLS brand has made an even stronger impression by being allocated an extended space on the show stand.

The LX450 Double Track offers a wide cut, full hydraulics and new heavy-duty features.

Wood-Mizer's staff at the show stand averaged 25 people, covering at least 7 languages, to communicate with the range of international visitors. The diversity of new and popular products on the presentation stand led to a steady flow of visitors throughout the week. Groups from Ukraine, Iran, Chile, Chile, France, Latvia, South Africa, Mexico, Myanmar and other countries made special stops at the Wood-Mizer presentation stand to see the new products. Wood-Mizer staff felt that the questions asked were the best they had been asked in years, in terms ofsee their quantity and quality.

Wood-Mizer CEO Richard Vivers was present at LIGNA 2017, and his comments provide an insider's look at the company's new products and vision -

"We've been coming to LIGNA as long as I can remember. This year we are showing several new products at LIGNA. Over the years, we have worked hard to develop and launch new products and expand our offerings. The biggest change (and I mean that literally) that customers can see at Wood-Mizer at LIGNA 2017 is the TITAN family of products that we're premiering this year - a range of industrial woodworking equipment, including wide-web bandsaws

"The launch of the TITAN range of woodcutting products is about the established woodcutting industry and also about meeting the demands of our existing customers who have grown with us. Many of them want to approach industrial wood cutting at a much higher production capacity."

"Compared to five or ten years ago, Wood-Mizer has developed a lot in terms of product range and geographical distribution of products. What has remained unchanged, however, is our business attitude and the culture we try to maintain within the corporation."
