Listening to Dan Pruteanu and watching the development Wood IQ over the last few years, you realize the brand's emergence RUBIQ CNC. After the over 100 CNCs sold nationwide, after target to reach every corner of the country and all the hard work that went into making it happen, Wood IQ CNCs naturally ended up machining other materials as well, but the company name seemed to exclude areas such as non-ferrous metals, plastics, textiles and advertising materials. It was no longer just about wood, and the CNC Equipment Division spun off almost naturally, motivated by a desire to pursue other industries.
RUBIQ CNC - the natural consequence of development
An important part of the Wood IQ business from the very beginning has been CNC. Models have been developed based on the requirements of the wood and derived panels (chipboard, MDF) processing industry, but without being limiting. Proof of this is the fact that such CNCs, with the necessary adaptations, have found their way to companies that process plastics or who make advertising materials.
The demand for CNCs has been steadily increasing and so the need for a division dedicated solely to CNC machines arose. The process was well thought through, from the choice of name, to European brand registration and export plans. The link with Wood IQ is also conveyed through the name, the IQ particle, also found in RUBIQ, being the "core", as Dan Pruteanu puts it. Behind RUBIQ CNC are the same people who have won the trust of customers by offering quality and reliability at the right price.
Now with a dedicated brand, the team can focus on developing the CNC product range to cover as many areas as possible. The CNCs that have won over the woodworking industry will continue to be retained, but new products will be introduced: CNC 3-axis lathe, CNC plasma and CNC laser.
What's new in RUBIQ CNC
RUBIQ CNC aims to invest in high-performance technology in order to provide the market with precise and robust machines. With their help manufacturers can solve problems related to lack of manpower, reduce production times and lower the cost of the finished product through the automation introduced in manufacturing. The market response to the delivered machines, close customer liaison, service experience has led to the refinement of existing models and the emergence of new directions.
RUBIQ CNC novelties include CNC lathes, lasers and plasmas. CNC lathes have been developed to produce sophisticated and complex products that are impossible with a simple lathe. They are machines with which accurate and reproducible turning can be achieved. The state-of-the-art controller allows simulation before running or visualization of machining in real time.
The first CNC plasma was delivered to the country by Wood IQ in 2018. The positive feedback encouraged the company to develop a range of CNC metalworking machines. We are assured that the machines are robust, have top-notch equipment and all conditions are in place for their mass production. To demonstrate its concern for quality the company uses for RUBIQ CNC plasmas Hypertherm, USA brand plasma working units and Panasonic servomotors.
Now industrial CNC lasers are an important part of the RUBIQ CNC brand. Also in this area the company has invested in quality components. The lasers are equipped with Reci brand work units and hybrid servomotors that combine the precision of servomotors with stepper motor technology.
What will be the Wood IQ pathway
The emergence of the RUBIQ CNC brand does not mean that Wood IQ will take a back seat. On the contrary, Dan Pruteanu assures us that it creates the premises for enriching the portfolio with diverse and high-performance machines dedicated to the wood and wood-derived materials industry. The existence of the two brands will eliminate possible confusion. CNCs sold under the Wood IQ brand could have been perceived as machines that can only process wood. Now those interested in computer-aided material processing will be able to find a partner in RUBIQ CNC, regardless of the nature of the material being processed. And those interested in wood and derived materials will find under the Wood IQ brand the industrial and classic machines for their processing.
Under the Wood IQ brand, machines will be developed for both "small" industry - workshops, small factories - and "heavy" woodworking. The process has already started, with ongoing projects for industrial machines producing beams (for construction, type EURO, BSH, duo-lam, tri-lam), panel presses and 4-sided industrial planing machines. Recently machines for a complete line for making finger-jointed wood panels.
RUBIQ CNC and Wood IQ are two brands linked not only by IQ but also by future plans for domestic and international development. They are built solidly, patiently and carefully, investing in quality, tenology and customer relationship.
