Wooden houses for camping, glamping or leisure base

France is the main destination for houses built by CasArbor. Such houses/cottages are a common sight in developed tourist areas there. The Sf Sfântu Gheorghe-based company produces houses on wooden stilts for campsites, glamping and leisure resorts around the world. For those unfamiliar with the term, glamping is a luxurious, 5-star campsite with facilities of the highest quality. Glamping is glamping + camping. It's a new form of tourism, popular all over the world, which allows even the most demanding guests to get close to nature without sacrificing comfort.

Casarbor's ambition is to sell this type of fully equipped and elegant cottages in Romania, thus raising this type of tourism to the 4-5 star level. Their offer is addressed exclusively to other companies on the local tourism market. The company only accepts orders for a minimum of 2 cottages.

The models are complex with bathroom, kitchen and 1, 2 or even 3 bedrooms. For the courtyard cottages, which have one room and a terrace, orders for a minimum of 10 units are accepted. The houses are well insulated and equipped with electric heating systems and can be lived in all year round.

Top huts praised at Europe's biggest trade fairs

The huts made in Sfântu Gheorghe are appreciated by customers from abroad, the confirmation coming from the biggest European fairs such as La Rochelle and Montpellier in France or Rimini and Padua in Italy. Since the very first participations, the chalets have been very well received, with the portfolio of clients growing year by year. The very good quality of the materials used, the wood treated in autoclave with specific solutions for a very good outdoor resistance and the top equipment were the arguments that convinced each participation at the fair and each customer.

The new collection is built in such a way that the cottages can be lived in all year round, even where winters are not as mild as ours. That's the main difference from the older models you can read more about here.

The huts are raised from the ground, resting on rounded, autoclaved wooden pillars, which are highly resistant to rotting. The average weight of a hut is 3-4 tons, therefore the wooden pillars have to be supported on poured concrete pillars as a small foundation. The walls are insulated with 10 cm thick basalt wool and the ceiling and floor with 14 cm thick basalt wool.

The wood used for the construction of the houses is solid resinous wood. The exterior cladding is Scots pine treated. The treatment is also carried out in the Sfântu Gheorghe factory, in its own autoclave, and aims to increase the durability and resistance of the wood to external factors (rain, snow, wind, sun).

Tanalith™ and Tanatone, known to be the most effective solutions for the treatment of exterior wood, are used for impregnation. Tanalith™ is the active solution, and Tanatone is a staining product that colors the wood in pleasant shades of brown. Both solutions are necessary for the wood to be well protected. The treatment process is described in detail here.

On delivery the cottages have all the necessary facilities for comfortable living. The rooms are furnished and have storage space, the kitchen is furnished and equipped with all the necessary appliances, as is the bathroom, and there is patio furniture. All appliances - stove, refrigerator, boiler, convector heaters in each room - are electric. The cottage can be easily connected to electricity, drinking water and sewage.

Various models adapted to camping conditions

The collection consists of five different models of log cabins to meet all the needs and requirements of partners. The smallest is the courtyard cottage with an interior area of 10 m² and a 6.5 m² terrace, and the largest is a 35 m² cottage with 4 rooms and a 13.5 m² terrace. All meet the most demanding requirements for comfort and relaxation. Installation and fitting is carried out by the company's specialists and is included in the cost of the cottage.

Here are the 5 models about which you can find more information here:

  • Bora Bora - 35 m², terrace of 13.5 m², 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom

How to order, conditions and necessary steps

If you want to increase the level of your touristic property and you consider CASArbor cottages suitable, all you have to do is contact the company here. It's good to know, however, that for such houses you need a building permit and all the necessary site planning. Pouring the concrete pillars to fix the wooden ones is also your responsibility. The company will provide you with the necessary plans and drawings drawn up by authorized architects, both for obtaining the permit and for the landscaping. You'll also be responsible for on-site connections for water, electricity and sewage. You will get the technical details from the company.

At the signing of the contract you will pay 40% of the value and another 40% at the beginning of the installation which will be done by the CASArbor team. The transportation of the houses to the erection site is paid separately, it is 1,7 euro/km and includes the necessary machinery to lift the house. The remaining 201TPTP3T of the contract value will be paid after the reception of the house.

And give us a sign. We promise to promote you. Maybe we'll even see you on our travels in search of interesting topics for wood lovers.
