Such an idea has enabled the adhesives firm Szolvegy Vegypary in Targu Mures to add a new service for its customers. The idea came about after extending the collaboration with a long-standing foreign partner and proved to be mutually beneficial.

A seemingly banal idea has led to the development of a new business direction

Szolvegy has been working for a long time with a partner in France that uses TISZABOND adhesives for parquet production. In addition to the quality of the products, with which it has had no problems over the years, the French manufacturer also appreciates the availability of the adhesives supplier, which is always open to new ideas and proposals.

It all started from the fact that the customer of the French partner, the end-user, needs adhesive for the installation of the flooring. In order to provide the customer with an additional service, but also so that there would be no subsequent problems with stripping, which would also call into question the quality of the flooring, the French manufacturer decided to supply the flooring and the adhesive together. To give the customer a unified image, it decided to supply the adhesives under its own brand.

New service offered by Szolvegy to its customers and adhesive distributors

Once the idea had crystallized, he made the proposal to Szolvegy, who received it openly and started tests to identify the most suitable adhesives for the very strong gluing of the parquet. Packaging sizes were determined and the partner provided the customized label. It was all designed to be as simple as possible for both partner companies and with maximum benefit for the end customer who welcomed the new service. The new way of supplying the adhesives has been working for some time now and the idea has proved a success.

This is where the idea of developing a new business direction came from. Szolvegy is now offering current and future distributors the possibility to sell the adhesive under their own brand. The tested and guaranteed adhesive will be delivered in 0.75 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg packages, with the distributor's own label. This will allow professional adhesives to penetrate deeper into the market, making it easier for small producers to reach them, and giving the distributor additional promotion of its own brand.

Long-lasting partnerships built on customer needs

Szolvegy is one of the major players on the Romanian wood adhesives market, working with over 400 partners. Customers range from large furniture manufacturers for the IKEA concern, to manufacturers of hives, shredders, solid wood panels or houses on wooden structure. With each of them, he has built lasting relationships, with the company's representatives being at their side to find the best solutions, even when it wasn't easy. From finding a solutions for the adhesive to react even at 0°Cfrom the use of labels in different colors so that different types of adhesives don't get mixed up in the factory, all have helped to streamline and streamline production.
