A successful collaboration with a foreign partner has created a new direction of business development for Szolvegy

These are ideas that, at first glance, seem simple and unimportant, but can lead to business development in new directions. The important thing is to be open to the new, to analyse correctly the resources to be used compared with the benefits obtained and the means required. Such an idea has enabled the adhesives company Szolvegy Vegypary in Târgu Mureș to add a new service for its customers. The idea came about as a result of expanding the collaboration with a foreign partner with whom they have been working for a long time, and has proved to be beneficial for both parties.

A seemingly trivial idea has led to the development of a new business direction

Szolvegy has a long-standing collaboration with a partner in France that uses TISZABOND adhesives for the production of parquet. In addition to the quality of the products, with which it has had no problems over the years, the French manufacturer also appreciates the availability of the adhesive supplier, who is always open to new ideas and proposals.

It all started from the fact that the French partner's customer, the end-user, needed adhesive for the floor installation. In order to provide the customer with an additional service, but also to avoid subsequent stripping problems that would also put the quality of the flooring into question, the French manufacturer decided to supply the necessary adhesive together with the flooring. In order to give the customer a uniform image, it was decided to supply the adhesives under its own brand.

New service offered by Szolvegy to its customers and adhesive distributors

Once the idea was crystallised, he made the proposal to Szolvegy, who received it with openness and began tests to identify the most suitable adhesives for the very resistant gluing of the flooring. Packaging sizes were determined and the partner provided the custom label. Everything was designed to be as simple as possible for both partner companies and with maximum benefit for the end customer who received the new service very well. The new way of supplying adhesives has been working for some time now and the idea has proved a success.

This is where the idea of developing a new business direction came from. Szolvegy now offers current and future distributors the possibility to sell the adhesive under their own brand. The adhesive, tested and guaranteed, will be delivered in 0.75 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg packages, with the label being the distributor's. This will allow professional adhesives to penetrate deeper into the market, making it easier for small producers to reach them, while the distributor will benefit from additional promotion of its own brand.

Lasting partnerships built on customer needs

Szolvegy is one of the major players in the Romanian wood adhesives market, working with over 400 partners. Customers range from large furniture manufacturers for the IKEA concern, to manufacturers of hives, shredders, solid wood panels or houses on wooden structure. With each of them he has built lasting relationships, with the company's representatives being there to help them find the best solutions, even when it wasn't easy. From finding a solutions for the adhesive to react even at 0°Cto the use of different coloured labels so that different types of adhesives don't get mixed up in the factory, have all contributed to making production smoother and more efficient.

This new service is also part of the idea of creating advantageous partnerships. Distributors can now sell adhesives under the TISZABOND brand, but also under their own brand, with the guarantee of product quality. The use of their own labels will make the brand better known, making it easier to get noticed on the market.

The company's product portfolio contains a wide range of adhesives that can glue everything from furniture, to beehives and beams for light structures or wooden houses, to shredders and pencils. The products can be adapted to the most difficult technologies, and for new requirements that cannot be covered by the existing range, the laboratory will find the most suitable solutions.

Besides adhesives - the main product - Szolvegy Vegypary also sells other complementary or auxiliary products useful to producers such as paraffin to reduce end cracking of solid wood, press release agent, putties, linseed oil or packaging products.
