Against the backdrop of dynamic developments in the wood and furniture technology sector, Xylexpo 2024 is set to be a key landmark in the international trade fair landscape. Scheduled to take place from May 21-24, the event will bring together more than 260 exhibitors at FieraMilano Rho, of which 33% are from outside Italy, occupying 25,000 m² of exhibition space in Pavilions 1 and 3. Xylexpo is a biennial exhibition of woodworking technology and components for the furniture industry, from primary woodworking to furniture finishing.
Exhibition Director Dario Corbetta emphasizes the importance of Xylexpo as an opportunity for those involved, given the recent measures for "Industry 5.0". With tax incentives that can reach up to 45% of investment for Italian companies, the condition being the alignment with specific requirements for digital transformation and, crucially, sustainability, Xylexpo becomes a catalyst for innovation and environmental responsibility.
The importance of this fair is not just a question of figures and percentages. It reflects a paradigm shift in the industry, where woodworking technology has to respond to new levels of technology, not only in terms of efficiency, but also in terms of sustainability. It is a platform where exhibitors can demonstrate how their technologies align with today's sustainability requirements and visitors have the opportunity to see the latest innovations in the sector.
In addition to the exhibition itself, Xylexpo will also offer a series of seminars and workshops, emphasizing the commitment to continuing education and knowledge sharing in the industry. By integrating the Industry 5.0 theme, the event emphasizes the importance of collaboration between technology and sustainability, providing insight into how the wood industry can evolve in harmony with green principles.
This edition of Xylexpo is not only a technological show of strength, but also an affirmation of the values that will define the future of the wood and furniture industry. It is an important moment for all stakeholders, from equipment and technology suppliers to manufacturers and distributors, who are invited to help shape a greener and smarter future for the industry.
