JOWAT's new PUR Adhesive, Jowatherm-Reaktant® 609.60, is a paradox

Adhesive manufacturer Jowat has expanded its portfolio of products for straight-plane lamination with a PUR hot melt adhesive that is being promoted as extremely strong and process-friendly. According to the manufacturer, the new product Jowatherm-Reaktant® 609.60 is a paradox: on the one hand it is a straight-plane laminating adhesive with aggressive bonding strength, but at the same time it has gentle processing characteristics. It successfully tackles substrates with high rebound forces and proves effective in complex and time-consuming procedures, offering a solution for elaborate bonding processes.

Jowatherm-Reaktant® 609.60 is presented as the ideal partner for the manufacture of decorative panels and sandwich elements, from doors and furniture fronts to kitchen worktops and flooring. JOWAT tells us that the adhesive has outstanding bond strength even in combination with difficult veneers or high pressure laminates (HPL).

One of the reported key advantages of Jowatherm-Reaktant® 609.60 is the extended drying time, which offers maximum process flexibility, even when more time is needed between adhesive application and pressing. In addition, the hot melt adhesive is characterized by an easy application with a low tendency to stretch and can be successfully applied with all dedicated applicator rollers.
