JOWAT's new PUR Adhesive, Jowatherm-Reaktant® 609.60, is a paradox

Adhesives manufacturer Jowat has expanded its portfolio of products for straight-plane laminating with a PUR hot melt adhesive billed as extremely strong and process-friendly. According to the manufacturer, the new Jowatherm-Reaktant® 609.60 product is a paradox: on the one hand it is a straight plane laminating adhesive with aggressive bond strength, but at the same time it has gentle processing characteristics. It successfully tackles substrates with high recovery forces and proves effective in complex and time-consuming procedures, offering a solution for elaborate bonding processes.

Jowatherm-Reaktant® 609.60 is presented as the ideal partner for the manufacture of decorative panels and sandwich elements, from doors and furniture fronts to kitchen worktops and floors. JOWAT tells us that the adhesive has outstanding bond strength even in combination with difficult veneers or high-pressure laminates (HPL).

One of the key advantages reported for Jowatherm-Reaktant® 609.60 is the extended drying time, which offers maximum flexibility in processes, even when more time is needed between adhesive application and pressing. In addition, the hot melt adhesive is characterised by an easy application with a low tendency to stretch and can be successfully applied with all dedicated applicator rollers.
