LIGNA 2025: 80% of the exhibition space is already booked

LIGNA 2025: A successful anniversary edition with impressive participation already confirmed

One year before its 50th anniversary, LIGNA 2025 is already enjoying significant support from exhibiting companies. At the end of May 2024, the organisers of the most important trade fair for the woodworking industry, Deutsche Messe AG and the VDMA Association for Woodworking Machinery, reported an excellent level of bookings - both in terms of the number of registered companies and exhibition space.

"By the end of the early bird discount period, exactly one year before LIGNA 2025, 80% of the net stand space - based on the total stand area of LIGNA 2023 - had already been booked for LIGNA 2025"says Stephanie Wagner, LIGNA manager at Deutsche Messe. "We also already have almost two-thirds of exhibiting companies registered compared to 2023. These figures show that exhibitor commitment to LIGNA remains exceptionally high, even though the industry is currently going through difficult times."Wagner added.

In addition to market leaders from Germany, Italy, Austria, Turkey and Spain, there were also numerous entries from Asia, particularly China and Japan.

The VDMA Woodworking Machinery Association believes that the current level of bookings for LIGNA and the very good participation of companies at the fair is an extremely important sign of the industry's determination to find a united way out of the crisis. Dr. Bernhard Dirr, Director General of the VDMA Association for Woodworking Machinery: "We are currently at the lowest point of a severe economic downturn. The unanimous commitment of registered companies for the next LIGNA highlights the expectation that things will improve by 2025 at the latest and that many new orders will be discussed at LIGNA."

Even though some companies opted out of similar events this year, LIGNA 2025 is shaping up to be a major event, with an impressive turnout already confirmed. LIGNA looks set to remain a vital catalyst for the growth and development of the woodworking industry. Exhibitors' commitment to the 2025 anniversary edition demonstrates confidence in LIGNA's ability to stimulate new business opportunities and drive the sector's recovery.
