Bochemit, for more than 50 years protecting and treating wood

Bochemit is part of the Czech group Bochemie whose history goes back 115 years, specializing in chemicals for the production of disinfectants for hospitals, car batteries or textile protection. The Bochemit division was established in 1968, dedicated to the treatment and protection of wood. It also produces treatments to protect wood against insects, molds and fungi or to increase the wood's resistance to fire and humidity.

Wood is a very versatile material with many uses. From furniture and interiors, to musical instruments, the most diverse constructions, even games or serving platters, everything is made from wood. There are many different species and different properties, so you can find the right wood for any project. But there are also properties that can sometimes be harmful. Wood's ability to burn by giving off heat makes it a fireproof material. Being natural and alive even after cutting, it becomes, under certain conditions, food for fungi, micro-organisms and insects. Its ability to absorb water and swell so that it perfectly joins the staves of a barrel becomes a defect when the wood is stored in high humidity environments. Bochemit offers solutions and remedies for all these weaknesses so that the wood can be used safely.

On how to treat with Bochemit products you will find extensive presentations in the pages of the magazine. For example, information about treating wood against insectsabout treating and preventing fungal attack. Find out how to fireproof wood and what are the requirements of a good fire retardant product here. What to do to get the wood back to its original color if it has been left outside unprotected or/and mold has appeared you find out by hereand how to protect it from water and moisture, here. This time there will be not just theoretical information, but practical treatments on problem wood. Test materials are provided by Deposib Expert, the distributor of Bochemit products in Romania.

We look forward to seeing you between September 19 and 21 at the Wood HUB stand during BIFE-SIM 2024 at Romexpo to see how Bochemit solutions can extend the life and beauty of wood, protecting it from fire, moisture, insects and other natural threats!
