Hotels for wine lovers

The world of wine is fascinating and wine lovers are very special people. They know a lot about the influence of soil on taste, sugar content, tannins and other such information. For their passion they take vineyard trips or wine tasting vacations to famous vineyards. That's how wine-lovers' hotels came into being, designed and decorated to be as pleasant and attractive as possible. We have chosen to introduce you to 5 such hotels in different parts of the world.

1. Hotel De Vrouwe van Stavoren, Netherlands

Hotel De Vrouwe van Stavoren in the Netherlands attracts tourists with its unique rooms. Tourists are accommodated in wine barrels with a volume of 15000 liters. The barrels have been converted with a bedroom with 2 beds, a bathroom, a living room and all the necessities of a hotel room. In these barrels there really was wine, which is attested by the presence of a specific odor inside.

The barrels were wine containers in a chateau in France for years before they became hotel rooms. Wine lovers staying here can choose between red or white barrels, depending on their preference.

2. The Yeatman Hotel in Porto, Portugal

The Yeatman is a luxury hotel located in an area famous for port wine. The beds are set in wine barrels and the views of the surrounding vineyards are stunning. The hotel has rooms sponsored by local wine producers and are decorated with special objects and paintings.

The hotel's wine cellar has one of the most complete collections of Portuguese wines. It hosts wine tastings, seminars and dinners accompanied by famous wines, offering wine lovers a unique experience. There is also a spa in the hotel where only cosmetics made with wine extracts are used.

3. El Lagar de Issila, La Vid, Spain,

The Isilla Pond is a boutique hotel in an old building that has kept its original traditional colonial style on the outside. Inside, however, the owner, an enthusiastic wine lover, has decorated the spaces with objects made from empty bottles, barrels, corks and boxes. Each room is decorated with unique objects and paintings inspired by wine and the surrounding wine region.

4. Rita's Calm, Pirque, Chile,

Rita's Calm is a hostel overlooking the mountains. It's decorated with objects from the 1960s, making your stay there like a trip back in time. Wine-lovers' rooms are set in 14,000-liter wine barrels. Tourists can visit the surrounding vineyards on foot, horseback or by bike. For those looking to relax, there's also a sauna in - where do you think? - in an old wine barrel.

5. Hotel Lindenwirt, Rudesheim, Germany

Hotel Lindenwirt in Rudesheim is located in the Rhine valley. The hotel is set up like a wine cellar, with old wine barrels with a capacity of 6000 liters, which have been restored and fitted out for living. Each room has 2 beds, its own bathroom and a special name. On the front door is the name of a local vineyard.

All of the above areas are beautiful places whose charm is amplified by these unique accommodations. I believe that the organizers of the "Wine Road", which runs through some of the famous Romanian vineyards, can also find inspiration in these arrangements.
