CNC machining centre for an easy start

I recently wrote about CNC machining centre and someone, in the comments of the article, was asking me to name companies or products, so they know where to start. I promised him I'd come back with an example of CNC and now I'm keeping my promise. It's about a CNC machining centre that Felder Gruppe, the manufacturer, says it's one of the easiest ways to get to know a CNC. Since our reader wanted to know where to start, I think we've found a start.

For those who don't know, Felder Gruppe is a large Austrian manufacturer of classic wood, chipboard and MDF machinery with over 60 years of experience. In fact, it is the largest manufacturer of such machines. And yet they pride themselves on being a trusted partner to thousands of joinery workshops around the world, with economical or professional solutions for small businesses too. That doesn't mean they don't work with the big manufacturers too. They do, but there things are 'written' differently, they talk about the number of machines and the most sophisticated models.

A small manufacturer needs a CNC to help him to machine as accurately, as completely and as safely as possible, both from the point of view of the machining itself and from the point of view of the machinist. The machining centre that provides all these requirements is called CREATOR 950.

The CREATOR 950 was launched this year at the LIGNA fair and was very well received by users. It is a CNC machining centre for drilling and milling, simple and safe, with very good productivity performance. Machining is done on 3/4 axis on horizontally positioned workpiece. It has a 4 tool magazine so the tools can be changed quickly and efficiently, hence the very good productivity.

Compared to similar models, the CREATOR 950 has a number of advantages. The biggest of these comes from the fact that it is ready to work immediately. It has no suction cups and positioning brackets, and the working field does not have to be chosen. So no more time is wasted preparing parts.

Horizontal processing is another advantage. Very heavy parts can be machined by a single operator. Milling interior doors in the cant is no longer a problem in terms of either the size or weight of the doors.

The machine software is very intuitive. Programming can be done quickly and easily without special training. The program produces a 3D representation of the machining that can be seen on the display. Thus at any time you can see all the machining steps the workpiece has undergone.

On the CREATOR 950, parts with very sensitive surfaces can also be machined without the risk of the surface being damaged in any way. The CNC is equipped with a phenolic resin table with air cushion that guarantees free movement of the workpiece.

What is important is that high-performance CNCs are available even for small factories and workshops. Using them will increase productivity and reduce the number of people needed for machining. In the case of the CREATOR 950, only one person is needed to do high-precision machining. It's the place to start.

These are not the only advantages that such a CNC machining centre has. But I think I have piqued your interest and from here the way to more detailed information is open.
