For those of you like me who are passionate about old-fashioned looking furniture, art and design encapsulated in a small piece of furniture, Annie Sloan is definitely a landmark. If you search the net for aged, distressed, rustic chic, or other such styles, it's impossible not to come across at least one piece of furniture finished with paint Annie Sloan. She's a creative person who has become a household name. Her artistic flair and training, her inability to find the materials that would allow her to transform a piece of furniture or an interior the way she would have liked, led her to create own product line. The products quickly won over and conquered the world. As a consequence, they have conquered us.
In my opinion, one of the big wins of the The BIFE SIM SIM BIFE Mobile Fair This year's highlight is the presence of the Annie Sloan stand. The "do it yourself" side has been little represented over the years, with an emphasis on ready-made furniture, the possibilities of buying furniture, and industrial-grade wood finishing materials. It is also true that not many people were concerned with this kind of activity.
There was a time when everyone painted, tiled or repainted their furniture. Now everything can be bought ready-made, or you can hire companies that offer such services. But more and more people want to do their own interior design, converting old pieces of furniture for their own enjoyment rather than a chore. Annie Sloan's stand at the fair will help them find not only the materials they need to make the changes, but also the technical information they need.
Annie Sloan representatives in Romania will be present at the fair with a number of surprises and activities to make your visit to the fair a worthwhile experience and a winning product. For example, there will be a photo corner in the stand where visitors have to take a photo, post it on Facebook with the hashtags #AnnieSloan and #AnnieSloanRomania and show the post to the brand representatives. The first 300 to do so will receive a gift of a 120 ml can of Annie Sloan paint.
Another surprise is the workshop on the stand. Remember Annie Sloan workshop I attended to learn how to use paints? You too can attend such a workshop directly at the fair. There will be half-painted furniture in the booth on which live demonstrations will be held, working on pieces on the spot. Visitors will be able to work on these pieces testing the paint, seeing how easy it is to apply and how simple it can be to change the look of old furniture.
There will be a corner furnished with furniture ready painted with Annie Sloan paints using various techniques, some of them less well known, that Annie Sloan has developed over the years. Visitors will be able to see what the finished furniture looks like and appreciate how much the overall look of a room can be changed using only 1-2 kg of paint.
