Activities that can be done using the electric power wheel

Like a hand plane, a power planer can be used to remove a layer of wood from a flat surface, smooth surfaces, smooth (finish) surfaces, smooth edges, or make door knurls.

To do all this, the electric ruler is walked across the surface of the wood and the two handles are used to apply the necessary pressure to drive the knife blade into the wood. Unlike classic rindeaWith the electric one, the blade is clamped in a device - a drum - that spins at a speed of 12000 rpm, so you don't have to work hard to remove the wood layer.

As you work, there will be a difference in the thickness of the wood between the front and back of the planer. The cutting depth is simply adjusted with a knob. Depending on the chosen depth, the tool will either finish the surface delicately or remove a thicker layer of wood by straightening the surface (calibration). It is very useful, for example, for machining recovered woodfor the removal with minimal effort of a layer of wood that is sufficient to straighten and clean the surface, but not so thick as to detract from the charm it has built up over time.

How to work

Even though it's a power tool, the pressure exerted on it and the position of the body are still very important to get great results. Good body balance and correct hand position will help you to work for longer without tiring and get equally good results all the while.

Start the machine before positioning it on the surface to be machined, leaving it on a machined side of the panel. When it has reached full speed, start pushing it gently and with constant pressure towards the area to be machined. Keep the pressure constant when touching the area. Position your hands on the two handles to equalize the pressure and distribute it evenly across the sole of the paddle.

The speed at which you push the ruler, the pressure exerted and the working depth you set will lead to the end result you want. The working depth is between 0 and 1.6 mm. To finish the surface the depth should be set between 0 and 0.8 mm. If you want to remove a thicker layer of wood the depth should be set between 0.8 and 1.6 mm. The greater the thickness, the greater the pressure applied. The advantage is that the effort required is much less than with conventional planing.

If you work with wood and time is important, the electric planer will help you achieve quality surfaces in much less time and with less effort. Good luck and good luck!
