The soft-grip handle provides better ergonomics. The FIXTEC system allows quick and easy blade change without the need for a wrench. The saw comes in a box with 2 blades and a 4 m long cable.

What is a saber saw and what is it used for

The saber saw is a great tool for DIY, homemade projects. Although it's very similar in operation to the pendulum sawis much easier to handle. That's why it's used when remodeling or demolition in the home. Its hand extension shape allows for use in awkward angles, tight spaces or at floor level. It is easy to control when making cuts from awkward positions (climbing ladders) or overhead cuts.

It is similar to the pendulum in the movement of the cutting blade which, like the pendulum, is reciprocating. It's a powerful tool that can be used for cutting wood, metal and aluminum (nails, spikes, pipes) or PVC. With special blades it can even cut stone. It is very suitable for cutting through tree branches - clearing them of dry rot - and even for cutting larger pieces of wood.

The difference between a saber saw and a pendulum saw

It looks like it's the same type of tool only it looks different. Indeed they both have a blade that has a to-and-fro motion, a handle-support at the end of the blade and different working speeds, but the similarity stops there. While the pendulum is used to cut curved lines or cut out various shapes, the sabre saw is a rougher tool used for tough jobs like cutting door frames or window when remodeling or demolition.

The pendulum is a tool you don't use every day, but if you need to cut a circle on a kitchen worktop or cut out a pattern on a guard, you'll congratulate yourself on your decision to buy it.

But the sword saw is the tool you may need every day if you're the homemaker type, or if you're planning to change windows, modify a door or attic loft. You can cut nails or spikes that get in the way when you're cutting a plank, and you can cut a piece of wood even when you're climbing a ladder. It's easy to get into difficult, tight places, awkward angles. You can cut PVC pipes if you need to change them, even aluminum. And if you've got a yard, it's great for cutting through dry branches, even shortening longer wood.

As you can see, it's the perfect tool for a housewife. Good luck!
