What is special about Kreidezeit wax? Aren't all waxes natural?
No. Not all waxes are natural and that is why Kreidezeit wax is special. The vast majority of people associate wax with a natural product, but not always the wax you buy is a natural product. The furniture wax you find in furniture shops is generally synthetic wax, sometimes containing only small percentages of natural wax.
Kreidezeit natural wax is made from beeswax and linseed oil. It is not chemically treated, and all the processes used to decolorize and clean it are also natural and do not use any materials that could harm your health. It is perfect for treating wood or for maintaining interior finished wood surfaces.
Natural wax for interior wood from Kreidezeit is recommended for finishing children's toys as it meets European standards for material safety. It is a natural, very high quality product that is easy to apply. Unlike synthetic waxes, which have a strong odor, Kreidezeit natural waxes do not give off unpleasant odors during application, drying or use.

How to use
Natural wax can be applied to any wood essence used indoors. Apply directly to untreated, unfinished wood or oiled or varnished surfaces. The wax is ready to use and can be applied to the surface with brushes, rags or cloths. Apply 1 or 2 thin coats. It is important that the wax is applied with repeated circular or along the grain in order to penetrate well into the wood. Allow 30-45 min to penetrate well into the wood, then wipe off excess wax with a dry cloth. After 24 hours the wax can be polished to a silky sheen. Horsehair brushes are very good for this.
Wax can be colored with natural pigments. To color, first take a small amount of wax and mix with the desired pigment until a paste is formed. Mixing is best done on a flat metal or glass surface. Use a spatula or a spatula or spatula pad to rub the surface so that no lumps form. The resulting paste is then mixed with the remaining wax. The pigment should not exceed 25% of the whole mixture. As the amount of pigment increases, the wax becomes less transparent.
In principle, 1 liter of wax can cover 30 m² of wood. Consumption varies according to the type of wood. Consumption is also lower on oiled or varnished surfaces.
Warning: Oil or wax soaked rags should be washed with water and dried in the open air or kept in a closed container as they present a danger of self-ignition due to ethereal oils.
Wax or oil finishes are those that give a very natural look to wood. Wax is very suitable for rustic finishes. Furniture protected with a thin layer of wax has a silky sheen and is more resistant to scratching or soiling. So don't miss today's offer. You could always find a toy, piece of furniture or piece of wood to protect. Especially since the wax left in the packaging, covered with a lid, can still be used years later.
